If it weren't for this video, I would have had to return this printer. We couldn't find any instructions for 'setting up printer'. It may have been on the cd, but the laptop doesn't hold cds. This printer is needed for employment. Thank you for taking the time to make this video. You explained it perfectly! We cheered when we got a Connection notice. Lol
I have had this printer for a year and was fixing to throw it against a wall I was so frustrated with it! Even my kids both had a go at getting it working. It worked on my husbands lap top but not on my Mac so I was always having to send docs to him to print and even then it worked only half the time! Thank you so much for taking the time to do this:)

@@genevieverenaud2537 Press *. It has 3 modes. Number, letter, Uppercase. Press as many time till you see number in the upper right corner of the display. Now you are in number input mode so press whatever number you need. Switch back to letters mode by pressing * again as many times till you see a letter in the upper right corner.
@@shavonnemeneese4322 True. When entering lower case or upper case letters, you can see the letters. With numbers you can't. That was my irritation. But just type your numbers blindly. It works.
@@nathanhardin8530 hey guys. i found solution that worked for me: It turned out that 802.11r amendment makes Canon wireless detection go crazy and see WPA2 network as unencrypted. Turning off 802.11r on Wi-Fi properties allows the printer to see the correct encryption and connect. After succesfull connection, by the way, you can even turn 802.11r back on if needed.

Thank you so much for making this video. My wife managed setting this up before but when we had to reset the wifi router it lost connection again and she couldn't remember what she'd done. We got very close to buying a new printer and getting rid of this one. Why Canon seems to have hidden away the instructions to do this is a mystery!
I must have watched every connect video there is for canon TR4500 and I am good at following instructions but nothing works. It simply will not connect to my wifi. Yet it was connected before I moved my office around.

I’m trying to input my WiFi password but I’m unable to find the numbers to add. I press 7 cans only get a list of letters within that number but not the number itself. How can I get the actual number I’m pressing ??
Press the (*) symbol like he said for the uppercase and lowercase, until you see the number 1 on the top right corner. It means you are set on numbers. Then press the number you want on the keyboard. It should work. For the special characters press the (#) symbole until you get the one you want.
Yes OK i figured all that out, but the one thing I want to know, isn't covered: HOW TO MAKE CORRECTIONS IF YOU MIS-TYPE??? I'm damn sure I'm not the only one who makes mistakes entering upper&lower case with a numeric keypad keyboard.
Any good with printing on photo paper? Want to replace a truly terable Hp printer mostly print on paper but sotmes use photo paper. Hp has very bad quality photos from day one. And not 5hat good on document. Plus there app is terable.
Hello, after entering the keyword it tries to connect for a long time, then shows message "not possible". Im sure i haev entered keyword correct. But numbers were never displayed in the screen, is that a problem? When i try to connect with the lan cable it does nothing. Any recommendations?

this doesnt work! When i then go onto the mac, it says it cant add the printer or connect to it even though it can see it. i have spent 2 daystrying to make this god damnvthingv work, going to send it back.
I had to activate that WPS button that automatically connects your device to the internet. It’s done by putting some sort of router address onto a web browser then scrolling down to WPS: active or deactivate. I would suggest calling your services provider to help you through it. Idk hopefully I’m remembering correctly
Has to be the most horrendous set up ever. Cannot get this to work using a mesh network at all. Doesn't even ask for wifi password even if i choose to connect to a single router rather than multiple.
I get to the part for my wifi I select it but then I can't push left to put in my password it just tries to connect and if course it can't because it won't let me put in password?
