Canteen Cup Tuesday - Spam Mac & Cheese 

Krusteze pancake mix needs only water to mix. Put a good sized handful of sand in the canteen cup. Then line the canteen cup with foil, mix enough pancake mix to fill 1/4 full. Cover, and set in coals. In 15 to 20 minutes you will have a thick piece of sweet bread, and very little clean up needed.

That is a great meal I have been watching Carolina Chris and Scoutforlife do there Canteen cup Tuesday it has been cool to watch . So this past week a friend of mine gave me an old 1945 canteen with a newer cup so this past Tuesday I did my first canteen cup Tuesday. so thanks for starting this Canteen cup Tuesday

Cool, simple and tasty. Not a big fan of the cheese powder that you get in these macaroni cheese things though, but still better than instant noodles! Not to be preachy or anything and I know it's probably a kinda damp there but it might be a good idea to remember and clear around the little wood gas stove a bit more, just a good habit to get into especially if you're ever going to be in a different environment. Lots of pine around here so maybe it makes me paranoid. 😉

I know this is old but here's a hint: Pui tthe water in first and boil it, then put your pasta in and let it start getting soft, then your SPAM (or other meat) chunks. Nothing burns to the bottom that way, and you get all of the nutrition, because nothing is wasted.

Surprised those aren't a wood fork and knife!!!!! Hahaha. I bring mine they weigh nothing. And I sat at home with them also. Saves washing and just feels better

Now that looks real good. It's kinda hard to find, but have ya ever seen Cheese Spam? It's pretty good! Just a few suggestions/ FYI if products that I have seen that might be of interest to you yo use some time. Have ya seen the single serve mac & cheese cups, just had water, but would take two to fill ya up. Have ya seen the small single serving packs of Velveeta cheese sauce packs? 3 Varieties , Reg, caso, and jalapeno. Come in a 3 pk box, but did notice that you can get them in a single pack at Family Dollar and Dollar Tree. I am going to try to maybe do something too for Tuesdays. We see!

If you are big into Spam, you should check out Scottish Wanderer Bushcraft. He loves his Spam. I made some jerky out of Spam that was pretty good. I have a Rothco lid that fits badly, so yours must be a factory second to actually fit.Thank you for the video, I am going to sub.

I would like to challenge you to try a Mac N Cheese recipe of mine. Try adding sweetcorn and a little chopped red & green peppers to your Spam, Mac N Cheese? Let me know what you think. I make it with chopped ham or bacon (instead of Spam)
