I purchased the Canterbury Classics Leather-bound edition of The Iliad & The Odyssey, and it's gorgeous; I'd marry it, if I could commit! It is the Samuel Butler translation, which I prefer : I find prose much more immersive, and more moving These editions are very attractive; you have a great eye, my love. I too am not the greatest lover of Leather-bound editions, as I feel they are not as hard-wearing; but, these editions are easy on the eye. Swoon!

It depends. Nowadays I prefer bind up editions due to my current lack of shelf space. Everyman’s and Library fo America are amazing books, but nowadays my favorite is Canterbury. Great value for the money.

About your Everyman's library of children classics, Do you buy the US edition or the UK, or a mixture of both? And do you know if there's a difference in the colour of the covers between these two editions?
As far as I know there are only UK editions. These books are printed in Germany. Sometimes the same title has different cover colors, depending on when they were printed

Beware folks: Amazon likes to ship books in bags for god knows what reason. They shipped me a once lovely Walt Whitman classic in a bag, and, *of course*, it was damaged. I'm sending it back. Be aware that this is likely to happen, especially if you purchase books one at a time.
Have you ever seen juniper books? They are beautiful books. They have a website, you should also look at Google images of juniper books because there are old ones that they don’t make anymore but they can make it for you if you ask them. I missed out on F. Scott Fitzgerald set, it was blue. I ask them if they can make it for me and they did.
