He really is. Much more dynamic than Dahlin who I think is outstanding. For me the fact Q has excelled playing 27 mins in close games being deployed against the competitions best puts him over the top IMO.
brett hughes Hopefully they’ll resign Tanev. They work really well together and Tanev doesn’t have to resort to blocking as many shots cause they control the play much better in their own zone and know where each other is at.
Absolute steal top 5 skater already in the NHL right along side McDavid and Larkin possibly the best skating D-man . Will be an exciting team to watch that's for sure
It still feels to me like we finally got the best player in a draft,Dahlin is a great player, but Quinn leaves me speechless with his ability to get the puck out of his zone
@@AStupidTourist During the season Canucks.com was torn on who to take and many wanted Zadina Adam, Evan or Dobson if we didn't land Rasmus. I posted Quinn was my pick even if we won the draft, I was ridiculed and got banned for telling a few posters to fuck off lol. Well I know it's early for a redraft but Quinn is not only deserving of the Calder, but his Rookie season also blows away either of Dahlin's two seasons and Q is only 6 months older. Could you imagine if we had taken Zadina, Evan or Dobson?? I still laugh at Bennings reaction when he realized Quinn was his. Even better since it came out that Benning had him top 3 and tried his best to get in the top 3 to select him since most thought either the Habs or Wings were going to take him.
Hughes is awesome! Canucks are definitely a favorite for me in the west I’ve always liked them since the Sedins were there, I love the flyers as my first team in the East hopefully we can draft prospects that can stay in the pros
Flyers kick ass, my Dad played with Clark in Flin Flon and have been my East coast team since I was a kid in the 80s. Plus you guys have by far the best Unis in any sport.
mojo this is the philly warrior guy this is my other account. What made me become a canucks fan for my favorite west team was the Sedins. They were just so magical to watch and it was amazing to see two brothers killing it in the NHL. I also like the Canucks logo I think it looks cool and I am a huge Jake Virtanen fan
Joulevi gets a bad rap amomg many fans but he has had terrible luck with injuries but was great for the Comets before he tore his knee after breaking his back and is been healthy and very good this season.
Huges made a mistake on team USA's no.3 goal against... but he is the catalyst on their 3rd period comeback... was all over the ice dancing through players
Elias Petterson should've been 1st overall in his draft year and Jim benning got him at 5th. Quinn Hughes should've been 2nd overall in this draft and Jim Benning got him at 7. Great job JB is doing with drafting in Vancouver. Only if JB selected Matthew Tkchuck instead of Juolevi, Canucks wouldve had Boser, Tkchuck, Pettersson, and Huges 4 year in a row. Still Great though. If Jim benning ever gets fired, a rebuilding teams or a team looking to tear down should hire him right away. And another example is Boston. JB was the one in charge of drafting in Boston and look how they been looking for last 9-10 years
lol 1:43 the look of disappointment on bro's face. If Vancouver didn't pick him he had 80% chance of landing closer to home in Chicago/NY. Oh well, our gain!
@@CoDINmyHEART your an idiot. First off you sound like a horny Teen but you do realize Quinns Mom is an Olympic Gold medalist right? She's not just some ditzy eye candy.
1:48 why does Luke look so dissapointed... bet they all talked about that year... he probably did not want to go to vancouver, because he barely knew anything about the team or city... bet he wanted to go NYC or CHICAGO
M Smith.........Sorry, but he is no Paul Coffey. I watched Coffey live and it was a thing to behold as he would pick up speed skating backwards away from you, with the puck, then pivot and turn it up ice with all that built up speed. If he can be anything like a Keith or Niedermeyer that would be great, but Vancouver doesn't have a Scott Stevens or a Brent Seabrook. Gubransson isn't fast or mean enough, and no one else is big enough. Unless Jett Woo becomes that guy, we are screwed.
M Smith....It hasn't changed that much. What is he going to do when Getzlaf, or Malkin, or Kopitar are standing in front of the net? Use his negotiation skills. When someone is even 3 or 4 inches shorter than you it is quite easy to stick out your ass and they can't do anything to get the puck. He is 4 to 6 inches shorter than a lot of these NHL centers. If he plays more than 100 games in the NHL I will be shocked. I always go back to what an old Junior A GM told me. "Junior B is for really big guys, or really fast guys. Junior A is for big fast guys". Multiply that by 10 for the NHL.
