This was great, I've freelanced part time data entry on and off for years but never thought thought turn it into my own business, I'm glad I found you, this was so informational thank you so much!!
Hello Stephanie - if you don’t mind where do you find part time data entry work? I’m currently still in-person full time working as an Administrative Assistant but I’m really interested in pt data entry work that I can possibly do during the evenings and weekends as I figure out how to go VA 100%. Thank you so much!!
I agree with Maria, where do you find data entry work? I've looked at all of the job sites and every single time they have come up as spammy or phishy scammers. I can't seem to find an honest job in just data entry, any help appreciated.
A new subscriber from Nigeria. I have been looking for how to create portfolio as a customer support agent. I just saw yours and the use of examples already showed me all i need to do. Thanks for sharing this
This is such a valuable resource for anyone building their portfolio! 👏 It's amazing how Canva can empower us to create professional-looking presentations of our work. 💪 I'm sure this video will help tons of people put their best foot forward!
I came across your YT channel and I am struggling on how to create a portfolio without client experience. I had so many questions that comes through my mind right now of where should I start, what would i include, etc. Thank you for sharing your insights and some knowledge. Now i can start building my own portfolio from scratch. I subscribed also since I am now your biggest fan from the Philippines in all my VA needs.
This was so helpful. I'm always wondering what I should put in a portfolio for General VA as a starter. I'm looking around but most I see are vague answers. Thanks for this one!
hello👋here in 2024 im a new VA considering to make a portfolio. 2 years later would you say that this will still help me improve my business and gain clients? and do I use a portfolio to apply for jobs?
We recommend starting with a portfolio to showcase your experience, skills and services before investing any time or money into creating a website. You can use it when applying for jobs and in some cases it will be the potential clients first insight to who you are as a person and as a VA.
That could fall under content creation or even email graphics! The best thing about virtual assistance is that YOU get to decide which services you want to offer! Graphic creation and content creation are great services to offer..that includes creating newsletters!
Hi! Thank you for this. But I have a question, I can show works for my portfolio but I don't have testimonials as I'm a new VA. Can I skip it and add it later when I have work already? I hope you'll notice my comment. 🙏
i wanted to join your program, but i think ill finish another program that i took first. its also to become a va. ngl i think that your program is promising for my days ahead on to becoming a more tech savvy va. ill take it as soon as i get the money.
Thanks for watching! We only ask that you join when the time is right for YOU, and if it's not that time, we understand. Connect with our support specialists when you are ready! Rooting for you!
Hello Abbey, I just love your content. I’m a parenting blogger and looking into adding virtual assistant as services I provide. Will I have to make another website for a portfolio or can I just add a services tab on my blog?
This is a great question to ask inside the VA Savvies Community on Facebook with over 130k members sharing free resources and excited to help each other out: thevirtualsavvy.com/community
Hey there, sorry to hear you're having trouble getting into the VA Savvies Community. Here are a few suggestions to make your join request smooth: 1. Be sure that the group you're trying to access is this one: facebook.com/groups/vasavvies 2. We receive hundreds of join requests every day and process them manually to ensure the group is as safe as possible. Your patience is appreciated! 3. Be sure to answer all the questions on your join request including typing "I agree not to self promote." 4. Request to join from a personal profile, not a business page. 5. Have a clear profile picture. Hope that helps!

Hey Abbey, I have a question: if you made a similar portfolio on canva, the work will be saved as different loose images in one folder. However, I would like my customers to be able to browse through my portfolio in the form of a book if I make it available to them via the various platforms. This means my portfolio should be one file rather than a folder with the various pages stored loosely. where is my mistake? Is Canva good for that or should I use another Program? How do I combine it into one file/book? Thank you in advance!
The Canva portfolio template is available inside the VA Toolbox www.thevirtualsavvy.com/va-toolbox. Canva also has a huge library of templates for almost every need so you may find a portfolio template in there that you like!
