i myself had created & designed different types of website in the past & i found astonished about the fact that in canva website we can add end number of elements/media & it does bot lag❤... speed & design exactly to the point 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🔥
Love this! Quick tip, you can change all the fonts in a design by going to Styles (paint palette icon) on the left and it will show your brand kit fonts and colors. You can click on the fonts and it will apply to all pages on the design. Same with the color palette.
Amazing tutorial, as per usual! It might have been a lot of work (which totally was worth it). Thanks for the kind sharing, Ronny! You and Diana are fantastic! ❤️
Thank you for all the support Eleonice ❤️It is very much appreciarted! And yes, this tutorial was a lot of work, but we have a fantastic team to help us ❤️❤️❤️
As I promised to watch this video 100 times. So far in a month 25 times. Probably in next 3 months i will achieve the goal. Almost I remember every step by heart. So far 😉
Your accent sounds french , and i wanted to tell you MERCI BEAUCOUP pour tout le temps investi dans cette vidéos et toutes les informations que vous nous avez servi gratuitement , un compte RU-vid qui se démarque de loin de tous les autres encore un énorme merci à vous ❤️
I didnt know about i feature also few others. I love your video. When I first started Canva about year ago i wasooking for training video and whe. I found your I saved your link for Canva, and eversince I only refer your videos. I can follow them easily. Thank you. Congratulations on becoming Team Rondi.🙂
Honestly such an amazing video, thanks Ronnie!! I've made 4x websites in the past, this was by far the easiest. Question, do you know how to change the default image that comes up when sending a link in messenger chat for example?
Thanks dear 🥰 For the thumbnail image, I'm not sure exactly where Canva fetches it from? Sometimes it takes one randomly from the website, sometimes it shows me the Canva logo ... Not sure 🤔
Dear brother ROn you made it so easy 😊😊 ❤❤❤ seriously I have no clue what to do or how to learn this but now You made me a pro 😁 ... I can't thnx you guys more ... Thnx alot for guiding people like me who want to learn and excel .. a year back I have zero knowledge but now 🎉🎉 🎈 just because of you I have started growing 💗💗💗
Thank you for your insights. Question, 1) I want to sell a digital product from my Canva website. I understand it currently does not have this option directly. 2) To make this work I can set up a stripe account and create a link to a buy now button on my Canva Website. 3) Where I am stuck is, once the customer has paid for the PDF (digital download) in stripe ‘how do they download the PDF??’ IDEALLY, the minute they pay there is a download option OR the PDF is automatically emailed to them (I know there may be 2 different set-ups here). I read you can link stripe and google drive together, however, I cannot seem to make this work, then someone highlighted using an integrator / binder, but again not sure how simple this is. Do you have any insights and simple to follow actionable ‘steps’ here please? I am not a developer. Thank you, Gary (UK)
Hi Gary, While it is true you can workaround the lock of payment gateway in Canva websites, there’s no known ways to trigger a PDF download. You have to accept that Canva websites are NOT made for e-commerce at this stage.
Oh my God. You just saved my life. I’ve been fighting for hours trying to get my Canva presentation converted to a different type file that would allow me to use PPT or Google Slides and all I could produce were plain, boring slides-with lots of hard work(2 days worth) that seemed to be stuck in Canva. I’m not sure how the page transitions will work, but even if I have to re-create some of those that’s better than starting from zero. Now I’m off to my computer in the middle of the night to try and see how it goes. wish me luck!!
Fantastic tutorial, Ronny. I've already built my website so I'm just watching for pleasure and to see if I need to learn something new and adjust my website. However, everything I did for my website has been reassured and confirmed in your video. You maybe think I didn't get value if I already did all this, but oh you can't imagine how much it means to me that a professional like you is confirming everything I did for my website was done right. Thank you so much for your work. This video is a legend! 💜💙💚
Thank you Cecil, I'm sure your website looks amazing 💜 We appreciate you watching our content and taking the time to share your thoughts with us! Keep do it 😍
Hey Ronny happy to see this video. Got to learn a lot from you as always. I have a question regarding the connection of our owned domain. When we connect our domain to the Canva, where will it be hosted. Is it on Canva or on any other server. If it's on Canva do we need to pay them. Please do update us about the hosting website on Canva. As in this video you showed how to connect the domain. Please let us know about the hosting as well.
Hi Muneer, so 3 options for hosting: 1/ Free hosting: host on a .my.canva.site type of URL. In this case the hosting is done on Canva's server and it's free. Free users can have up to 5 free websites like this. 2/ Purchase your domain of choice via Canva: you'll have to pay a recurring fee annually to Canva. I'm not sure what arrangement they have for that option, but you'll pay them and they'll take care of the rest. 3/ Host on a domain you already own: for Pro users only. You'll need to connect your Canva created site to a domain you already own (hosted on a 3rd party platform).
Great Tutotial! Thank you sooo much. I still searching for a way to install a booking tool into the website. Can you please tell me if it is possible and if yes, how ? Another question. How do you place yourselt in the right corner below while the video still ist playing behind you. Do you prefer a certain software ? You need a greenscrenn to do so ? Thank you for answer. Just discovered you videos today....love them...and definetly will watch them all. Thank you so much!
Thanks dear 🙏 You could create a calendly account and link to it via a button on your Canva website. That way people would be able to book meetings with you. For the editing, it's a combination of having a green screen in the studio, the proper lighting to make sure your green screen is properly lit and an effect called ultra key that we use in our editing software (Premiere Pro) to get rid of the background.
@@TeamRonDi wow. Thank you so much for this really helpful Message. 👍👍👍👍 There is, however, no possibility to show a calendar on the website directly. Is there? Also when you create a "booking" button...where is it linked to? To PayPal directly? To calendly ? Is there a Video Tutorial of yours? Need to check. Does the programm just cut you out and you need to place your picture in the right corner below in a second step oder dies it do this frame in frame thing too? Tutorial link? Thank you for your help. Your videos are great, very professional, very helpful. Gonna Abo now.
You guys make the BEST Canva tutorials!! I have a question about creating a website on Canva: Is it possible to make a slide show presentation part of the website I create on Canva? If so, could you provide a video demonstrating how to do that? Thank you!!!
Hey there 👋 Thank you for your kind words YES! This is actually possible. Here's how to do it: > Create that slide show presentation as a separate Canva project. > Grab the view link to that presentation > Go to your Canva website and past the link you just copied on your desired page > Publish your website > You should have an embed of that presentation and you can scroll through its pages 🙌
Question - im looking to make an e commerce website I'm able to basically integrate with my shopify website... It needs to connect to the e-commerce side of things with the shopify site... Is that even possible and if so, would you be able to do a video on it? I started it but I'm running into an issue with 1. My FAQs - i need expandable menus where I can have the squastions and when you click on the questions the texts expand to show the answer. 2. Connecting it to my shopify ecommerce so I can sell my products from the site... Is that possible?
This was so informative and helpful! Though it seems as if Canva's website templates act more as a landing page where you can embed already existing external sites, rather than a fully functioning independent site, such as for blogging? I want to make a blog and all other sites are so complicated so I turned to my good friend Canva.. but it seems as if I wanted to continuously upload blog posts, id have to continue to add canvas pages using this method? Idk. any thoughts? Thank you!
You are right about Canva websites being more like simple landing pages for now. Rather than full fledged websites. I wouldn’t recommend using them for a content heavy blog.
Thank you for the tutorial. But I have to say, once you went through the "existing " website portion, you went way to fast, and some of what you stated was hard to make out
Hi Ronny! I love your videos. Hope you can clarify this question for me. We are going to make a website for a citizen organization and while we agree on the contents to build it in wordpress, as an intermediate phase , we have thought of making a landing to have a website where to collect mails, etc (as you explain in the video about it, with a google form, etc.), in addition to explaining the objectives of our organization, etc.. My question is the following. When we have finished the web in wordpress, what steps do I have to take to replace it, since we are going to make the canva landing page with our own domain. Muchas gracias por compartir, Diana y tú, de manera tan guay todo lo que sabéis. 🤓😘
Hey there 👋 I’ve never actually done that, but I suppose you should have access (via your hosting platform) to the content that is hosted under your domain. So once your Wordpress is ready, you can simply move it to the main domain. Another option would be to create a simple re-direct that “redirects” traffic from your domain name to your Canva website. Once the main site is ready, delete this redirect.
Great video Ronnie. Always love your tutorials! Wanted to ask if there is a way to remove design by canva at the bottom of the Web page. U mentioned it in your video when u publish it.
Thanks for the amazing how to video, I was able to follow step by step in creating my own website. But I was wondering if it's possible to add onto the website a more info button something that pop-up with a brief explanation of a service?
As always, fantastic tutorial! Thanks for all the work you and Diana . Much appreciated. :) Quick question: can I change my url or just the slug? I want to use my name as the url so I can publish different types of websites. My current url is wrong. :(
You can only change the slug with the free version. With Canva Pro, it is said that you can host your website under a domain that you own. Though I was never able to do so with my website 🥺
hi, I love your tutorials! you are so nice and clear about everything :) I have a technical question to you. Is there any posibility to build a website, where I can put a pdf or a doc file for the website users to download? I've been struggling with this for some days now and can't come up with any solution. Thanks in advance!
Hey Becky, Thanks for the compliments 💜 Yes, you could have a downloadable PDF on a Canva website. The trick is to upload the PDF to a platform like GDrive or Dropbox and then link to the PDF via the URL leading to it on these platforms. Now, if what you are trying to do is to gather emails in exchange for that PDF (lead magnet), that is different.
Hi, thank you for your reply. Yes, I did this the same way you explained. Thank you! I was hoping there is some possibility to use only Canva for this (without the google drive), but no problem, this will do. I don't need to exchange the file for emails.
Thank you Ronny for excellent tutorial, I have a question I do have a domain and a website but I’m looking forward to create a event that I’m hosting, I’m no sure how is going to work and if is possible to add at my domain. Would that change the website that I already have or how does it work? Thank you so much 😊
Yes, you can't have 2 different websites hosted under the exact same domain. What you could do is try to create a subdomain and then host your Canva website under that subdomain.
So...did your canva site work on your "own" domain? Did you have to create a sub domain and create just the "A" record? This is the most important part of this video as without these step by step instructions, we just created a page for nothing. Would like to see an in depth tutorial on just hosting your canva web site on a different domain and host. The rest of the video was spot on! As always.
Hi Steve, this is the one part I'm still struggling with. I haven't been able to host my Canva website under my own domain. For now I use a redirect link. But I'd love to dive back into this and figure out a way to do it. I'll try to do so when I launch the website course we are working on, later this year.
What happen after we disconnect our own domain after publishing canva website, will it be unaccessible or the published canva website remains accessible. Thanks Ron, much appreciated. Thumbs up...
That's amazing! what about having a header session with different pages like ABOUT US, BLOG, ETC? or right now are you guys focusing more on landing pages for then maybe implement it with footer, header and more?
Right now these Canva Sites are single page scrolling sites, but maybe in the future they will offer the possibility to create multiple page websites 🤞
As a web developer, landing pages DO include the ( About Us) (Contact Us) (Services) etc etc, on them. Most want them on top and aligned to the right for websites and for mobile in a drop down menu of course 😊
@@cerealrakist7360 if you do a navigation section would you recommend creating a hyperlink to other pages? I am just curious how would you retrieve data from your visitors.
Hey Keisha, I'll experiment with more apps in future tutorials, but I believe if they show in your website project, that means you should be able to use them on your website. Just remember that Sites are still in BETA and Canva is still fixing bugs and features. So patience!
Thank you for this video! I have a quick question.....If I want to make a digital portfolio/website for someone else, is there a way I can make it accessible to them afterwards other than sharing the site link with them?
There is currently no way to share a website as a template, but hopefully Canva will add this feature soon. This would allow us to easily sell the websites just like other document types.
Hi, thank you for this amazing and useful channel! Please help me understand just one more thing - I found that in Canva website templates there is possibility to add a blog articles (for example in templates: "Church Website in Black White Beige Simple Blocks Style" or "Home Page Website in Beige Lilac Simple Vibrant Minimalism Style"). What URL link should I copy for that? Where those blog articles can be red? Thank you in advance. Aija
Hello dear, Canva websites are not made for hosting blogs at the moment. You might see the word blog in a template, but that doesn't mean you can actually run a blog on Canva.
Hey Charlie, glad you liked the tutorial 😍 For now, you cannot add a nav menu with the Canva Sites. At least not the new version. They are scrolling single page only. Let's hope they change that and give us more options in the future 🤞 Same for contact forms: this is not possible with Canva only. My advice would be create a button with a link to a contact form in Google or Mailchimp.
@@TeamRonDi Thanks for the quick reply Ronny. The reason I asked about the mobile nav menu was that I hoped you could add a nav menu so the viewer would not have to scroll too much on his phone to get to the bottom of the page. With a nav menu he could just click on the page and go right to it. I may just try creating 5 buttons linked to each page and then group them to see how Canva would end up displaying them on a tablet and smartphone screen. One last question please - Is it possible to embed a Google form in an on a site page in Canva?
Canva websites are not really built for daily updates. The process to update them is to come back to your Canva project and add your changes there. Then publish again.
Thank you for the super exhaustive tutorial! 🤠 I wonder, is it possible to make custom edits to the underlying code of the websites created in Canva? Like, if I wanted to write my custom HTML / CSS?
I'm having quite a bit of trouble trying to connect a website I made on Canva to a domain that I owned. So maybe purchasing via Canva would save you that hassle ?? The new Sites feature is still in BETA, so we can't really expect it to work perfectly. When they'll launch it officially, we should have a better user experience. I guess they are working on fixing all the issues at the moment. Patience 😎🤩
Hi Ronnie great tutorial, I’m noticing that when I preview for computer view some of the bottom of the page including CTA is beyond 1 screen length. Is that intentional? Do users expect to be using the mouse to scroll? Is that an ascetic?
How to connect one page to another? Like a "More" button. If I click a more button it'll take me to the detail of the project (a canva page) which can only be visible if the button is pressed. How to do it? (It's not the naviagtion)
Hey there 👋 The new version of Canva websites is mostly for single page vertical scroll right now. So there's no Top Nav menu for now. Let's hope they come up with multiple page websites and templates in the near future 🤞
Great video! I get a lot of knowledge from you! Please make more video about the website! After watching you i created one but it is one scroll down web page, do canvas have features to click and hop to another page which is not in the same scroll down view?
Thanks for watching this video 💜 We will make more videos about Sites, right now we are mostly waiting for them to get out of BETA. For now they are simple scrolling pages only.
Amazing video.. appreciate... very useful. I have to watch many times this video to catch.. By the way... How many domain you can. Get with a Pro account?
Hi Ronny, I need to add a seperate page on my website for appointments that goes off the main homepage, as well as another page for my clients to make payments. Do you have a video on how to do so?
Canva doesn’t have a native feature to accept payments, but this video shows a couple of ways to work around that: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zhwgjN-_49I.html
Greta video...I followed Diana's instructions for creating my website (Mobile-first website) in Canva. It looks great in a cel phone but not so much in a PC. Is there a way to use my current website (really like and it took a lot of work) and "convert" (if may I use that term) my website to this new version that you are using in this video? I would appreciate your help!! Thanks
Hi Carolina, If you have a Pro account, maybe you can use the “Resize” button to resize your mobile first website into a website document. I’m not 100% sure this will work as Sites (the new ones) are still in BETA. But it’s worth a try.
Hi First I would like to thank you for this video, I am a pro user but when I go to "publish website", I get only "Free Domain", option. But "Purchase a new domain" & "Use my existing domain" both are not available. I am from India. Is this feature not available in India?
Wonderful video. I’m currently in thr making of my website and I have a question Is there anyway to edit only on the mobile side of the website? Because the preview for the pc/laptop was great, but once i preview the website for the mobile everything is a mess😂 like how sometimes my body text was on top of the headline etc
No, if you edit it will affect both desktop and mobile versions. Have you found the toggle button that allows you to preview your website on both devices?
@@TeamRonDi Hi! Thanka for taking the time to answer🙌🔥 Yes I have, my only problem eas when i look at the preview for the mobile, it didnt look right at all
I don't see the link to the live website. Did everything work when you set it up? I just did mine and the waiting is so hard! LOL I watched this video a couple of times and it really helped a lot!!!
Thank you Jennifer, for now my website is still under the free Canva domain here: ronnyhermosa.my.canva.site/ I haven't yet figured out how to host it under my own domain. Waiting for Canva to help me with that.
@@TeamRonDi I just looked at my settings and everything is connected except one of the CNAME, that one shows pending. Is this something Canva is working on still that you know of?
Hi! Thanks for the detailed tutorial. I tried publishing my website using my own domain, but also came across errors in changing the DNS records because the value Canva gave is not recognized. Were you able to resolve this with Canva?
Hi Rubie, Same here. I tried to change my DNS settings to those provided by Canva but it never worked. I ended up redirecting my URL to the published Canva website’s URL via my hosting provider setting page.
@@TeamRonDi thanks for responding, Ronny. I was able to publish it using my domain after I reached out to Canva Customer Service. We used my domain for some value that were considered invalid by my host. Perhaps you can try that too.
Hi Ronny, as always an incredible tutorial. I don't know if anybody ask about multilanguage website on Canva. So is there any solution to make my company website multilanguage? Thank you.
Hi Luca, at the moment Canva websites do not have multilanguage features ... it is technically possible to duplicate your website and translate the duplicate into another language, and then link that different language version via a button on your homepage ... but it's a tedious hack.
hey! this was such a helpful video! my only doubt is how would i publish multiple articles on a one page website made in canva? like im very lost that if somebody cliks on one of my manyyy articles where would that page be created and appear? where would i create the pages to each of those articles?
I wish I could give you an answer Mark. All I know is that Sites are still in BETA and that Canva is working on them. I'll let you guys know when I hear more from them 👌
🤔 Technically you could... because you can decide to protect your website with a password. It wouldn't be ideal though in my opinion because you'll only have *one* single password and members could share it with other people easily without you knowing about it.
Hi, amazing tutorial, I hope it help me with building my first website on my own. I have a question. Is there a possibility to add Google Tag Manager to head section of the website and implement code for GA4 or FB Pixel?
Thank you very much! This was really helpful! Could you help me with a question? How can I do it if I have different sections in a web, and I need that when tapping on each button it takes me to another section of the web but not to another external web. Is it possible to do that? Thank you
