I don't know how such a young girl can capture such emotion in such a stirring song. Beautiful mature and pure performance. There is something very soulful in the true reflection of many Irish songs and this young girl demonstrates the soul in her beautiful rendition.
I am glad to see that these young children are exploring war and it’s impacts. I was probably sixteen when the recruiters came to my high school. I joined the United States Navy Reserves when I was seventeen. Fortunately for me, I didn’t go active until I had completed college and I was not deployed to Vietnam. Many of my friends were.
what a voice at 13 years... as Eric Bogle said.. doesn't matter if people call the song no man's land, the green fields of France or Willie Mc Bride, as long as they sing it.
Beautiful voice lass. As someone whose worn a uniform since I was 17 and going on to my 38th year and still being in one, we thank you for such a beautiful and eloquent rendition my dear. To think you are my daughter’s age with such an awe inspiring voice...simply moved is an understatement. Beautiful.
I don’t what it is with this wee lass every song I hear her singing I get goosebumps what a talented lady I still can’t believe she was 13 when she sung that , she sings like she been singing for years
Thank you for such a beautiful rendition of this song. Having just been to France this year to visit the grave of my Great-uncle who died on the Somme in 1917 this song is very special. He was 17yrs old.
This is absolutely amazing. I was first introduced to this song at Fort Bragg in North Carolina back in 2006. This rendition is my new favorite version. Very well done!
selbst wenn man diese Lied schlecht singt, aber von Herzen und mit Verstand - ist es gut gesungen. Aber das versteht heutzutage kaum noch jemand. Traurig traurig...……..
I feel this song so soothing that I hear that my life and thoughts are still alive Thank God for this song and this precious soul that is singing this 🍏🌏🥰
The only bummer about this clip is the way the crowd yelled and cheered at the end. It is a sad song, sung beautifully, and they don't give it the respect it deserved
You have a beautiful voice. I hope you have a wonderful singing career, and teach us many Irish songs. I will be telling my family to check out your songs. Many Hugs Dear. Nana C.
Absolutely stunning performance Caiomhe Mooney. Voice of an Angel this song and your version of Grace are constantly played by my 6 and 4 year old daughter and son (big big fans of yours)
