At 6:41 The formula used is bit incorrect It should have been 1/Ceq= 1/C1+1/C2+1/C3 The reciprocal will be on both the sides not just right.

I melted my brain trying to figure this for hours and hours. Thanks for making it understandable. I'm going to build an engine in Febuary that uses a capacitor dump circuit. This will be a great help in figuring out the values of the components. 👍

I have a question- if you divide 48.39 by 2, the answer is not 24.2 but 24.1. Similarly, if you divide 48.39 by 5, the answer is not 9.7 but 9.6. Therefore, the sum of the answers is 49.8, which is obtained by adding 24.1, 16.1, and 9.6 is 49.8 and you give us 50 why💭❓

my calculator gives me the answer in 5*10^-3 how do I convert it to 0.005? please hlp

See the video for exponential notation on RU-vid you'll get know then... Since you have 5×10^-3, it means you have to put the decimal point 3 positions before the 5. You have, 5 in which the decimal point is at the end like this 5. Just put it three times before One time .5 Second time .05 Third time .005 And now before decimal point there is no number that means it's zero Therefore, 0.005 I hope it helped you 👍

So another words, if I have a circuit of 350Vdc total, I can run two caps in series at 250Vdc each for a voltage total of 500Vdc..uf values being the same. Is this correct?

The title should be "Capacitor Calculations in Series and Parallel Explained!" I thought this would be a video that discusses their effects and practical applications. I know how to calculate them, but why? Why does one connect a capacitor in series with a resistor? Why does one connect them in parallel? etc.

You did a great job showing how you can calculate the same thing different ways and explaining the key concepts. Q is the same for each capacitor in series and V is the same for each capacitor in parallel. You explore all the aspects as usual to further and solidify our understanding!

Hi. Thanks for the video. I have a coffee maker which stoped working cause of damaged plastic film capacitor. Can I replace it with aluminum capacitor fixed in series To get same values. Ie: voltage and Farads.
