Warriors of Fate is a sequel to Dynasty Wars and are both based on the manga Tenchi wo Kurau by Hiroshi Motomiya - which also spawned the game Destiny of an Emperor (the game is known as Tenchi wo Kurau II - Shukumei no Tatakai). Also, I remember playing Armored Warriors with my friends every Halloween, which in fact that game is the first appearance of the mechs that later famous in Cyberbots Full Metal Madness.

I wish life was set in this art style

A must have game for retro fans with a Switch. I bought mine on release day with no regrets.

I hope Konami makes a collection like this, with online support for the X-Men arcade game

This bundle is SO ME!! I cant get into most big AAA games these days. These games are awesome , pick up and play arcade action. Just my cup of tea.

Just as an aside, if anyone's wondering where Capcom's two Dungeons & Dragons beat-em-ups are, they were re-released on last-gen consoles as a package called Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara. And it's still available from Steam.

I bought this on release day and was disappointed there were no screen filters. Now it’s been updated it’s a much better package. A must buy for classic beat em up fans.

Great review! Honestly, I've had this bundle since the week after launch. And I never even tried Armorer Warrior and gave it a honest shot. Battle Circuit and Knights of the Round co-op is sheer fun and took most of my time. Glad to see it's the one you recommended so now I feel like i'm missing out lol. Definitely will be playing that one when I get off.

Here's a piece of advice for those not familiar with Capcom beat'em ups: down, up + attack. King of Dragons and Captain Comando should be the only exceptions in the bundle.

lack of Punisher, Cadillacs and Alien vs Predator is a HUGE shame, and there aren't any reworked OST, cool filters or galleries like Final Fight: Double Impact had. Online multiplayer is nice, but it feels a little bit overpriced.

Sometimes I watch these videos just to get someone to wish me to enjoy the rest of my day.

Woohoo I'm glad you did the review on this compilation, I was on the fence for getting this not because of the game but more of the quality of the product. Still wondering if the Switch version is okay I know online had issues but I don't really for that I don't play online on the Switch .

Wow! This looks awesome! I love that there are Japan-only games. It's always been hard to find good arcade ports of non-SF arcade games from the 90's onwards, so this will be an inevitable pick-up for me eventually.

I wish they could have included more 3-4 player Co-op beat -um -up games like, the Combatribes 3 player arcade game, The Battletoads 3 player arcade version, The X-Men arcade game 4 player, and maybe The Simpsons 4 Player arcade game too. Besides Final Fight, the only other game I liked in this bundle was the warrior game with the horse. I know that Capcom doesn't make all those beat em up games I listed, but it still would be really nice to play them all again. I miss the old days of playing in the arcades.

Picked this up not long ago for sale on Live for 10 bucks, awesome collection.

That plant from Battle Circuit looks so crazy, like a cronenberg thing lol I’ve never played any of these beat em ups except final fight.

Crom approves of the various modes of battle and destruction.

Shinobi, Outrun, Outrunners, After Burner, Space Harrier, Hang-On, Daytona USA, Virtual-On, Virtua Fighter, Crazy Taxi, Altered Beast, Golden Axe, Moonwalker, Super Monaco GP, Sega Rally, Thunder Blade, Die-Hard Trilogy, Star Wars Arcade and more all on one disc would be fuckin epic! Shit, and throw in a few bonus games from each of their consoles too. Instant seller!

This is already on my Steam wishlist. Armored Warriors and Battle Circuit were my favorites since they were arcade exclusives that were only playable via emulation. The only issue with this bundle is that Aliens vs Predator, The Punisher and Cadillacs and Dinosaurs are missing. The D&D beat-em-ups also got their collection on Steam, might get it ASAP.

I love this on my Switch. I haven’t played most of these games before and I was missing out. Online is a little shady on Switch but still so worth it.

I found vol 1 n 2 of the Capcom collection for $4 each on PSP at my local 2nd hand store the other day! Was so stoked! Got them on Xbox n PS2, though the 360 one u need to go online for it but still awesome, love Capcom. I'll b getting the Switch hard copy forsure!

King of Dragons has definitely been my jam this summer. Played through with all the classes. Brilliant blend of beat em up action, fast pacing and awesome handling of light rpg elements.

There are several more i wish were in this like punisher, xmen, and alien vs predator

Does anyone have a problem on ps4 with this game when trying to pause? I can only get the menu by pushing the home button or the share button. The start button is greyed out in the menu controls.

I recently got this for $12 thanks to the PSN summer sale w/ PS+ discount.

Trying to find an old beat em up. Late 90s - early 2000s era I think. Possibly by Capcom, Namco or Konami. Maybe some other company. I played it on PS1 or PS2. It's set in what I believe was an Japanese or American High School. It's characters are focused around sports based combat such as someone using a baseball bat, a volleyball, football etc. It's kind of anime based (didn't even know what anime was at the time) and was 3d.

I got Capcom Classics Vols 1 & 2 on XBox (the original), and Captain Commando, Final Fight, King of Dragons and Knights of the Round are there. I would recommend either. And, if you are in the RPG beat-em-up mood, grab Dungeons and Dragons Chronicles of Mystara on XBox, PS Store and Steam. You won't be disappointed.

great vi as usual. I disagree with the captain command part. In the arcade version you have hidden places and more possibilities, like killing the enemy and it become something different according to the player you are using

Anything couch co-op is a win with me. As I grow older it vet's ever more difficult to find people to play with, so having the option when the situation arises is great :D

King of Dragons is one of my Favorites. I dont know if its just nostalgia but I used to rent this game all the time. I had it on psp and now I got it on switch.

i got this on the switch shorty after it was put on the eshop. i really like armored warriors, the king of dragons, and knights of the round. the others are all good in their own right but i really liked these a lot.

I'd love to play Battle Circuit and Armored Warriors. But King of Dragons is reason enough for me! One of my favorite games ever! And getting an arcade perfect port of Final Fight is great!

I wish I had the money to buy you a switch. I don't know why but I think you'd like it. I almost never play big AAA titles but lots of indies and this kind of compilations and it lends itself perfectly.
