No it doesnt. Its 2024 and still they cant make hair properly with lights engine i already know how bad is gonna look and dead rising not needed a remaster was already cool on HD version.
It's a shame that in order to bring horror back they sacrificed the characters. Because Ethan Winters was the most boring protagonist in video game history. And the remakes don't exactly portray the original characters any better. RE3R has the worst version of Jill.
@@georgehouliaras7239 Ethan's no Chris or Leon but I thought he was just okay, RE3 remake in general was very rushed and character consistancy has been a problem since RE4. Original RE2 Leon and original RE4 Leon feel like different characters.
@@jeremyknight9980 Yeah but at least they were good even though they were different between games, in the remakes, they are trash, the worst versions imo, especially in the voice acting department. Especially Jill and Claire in RE2R and RE3R. I never thought a day would come where I'll yell out loud "Shut up" to either Jill or Claire and then I played the remakes. They were as unlikeable as DMC reboot Dante. Leon is horribly voiced as well and I can't believe they got the same guy to reprise the role for RE4R, he is completely untalented. And Chris? I'm pretty much sure that they have completely given up on him. He was so bad in RE7 that they tried to fix him in 8 but he looks like a weird amalgamation of his previous versions.
@@georgehouliaras7239 Only voice I can't say wasn't good in the remakes was RE4 Ada, I thought everyone else was fine, there's a weird kind of charm to the old games bad voice acting.
@@jeremyknight9980 RE's voice acting was significantly improved as the games on, despite being action 4, 5 and 6 had some excellent acting and some of the biggest VAs in the business like Roger Craigh Smith was voicing Chris. But from RE7 onwards, we went back to OG RE1 levels of acting. People are starting to notice it with RE4R Ada like you said but imo, it started with RE7 and it was far more noticeable in RE2R and RE3R. These characters felt like Leon, Claire and Jill in names alone.
It looks great but it's really telling how much art and graphical style has stagnated that the original still holds up perfectly in terms of visuals and characters.
Please reuse the original voices or give us an option to toggle them. I really don't like the new voices. The original cast was perfect. I would honestly just suggest playing the original otherwise, it's that much of a compromise. The original voice acting defined Dead Rising in my opinion. Changing the voices seems unwarranted, especially if this release is using the exact same map layout. I think the hair is too messy and the wrinkles make Frank look too old.
I've been wanting to try Dead Rising for years and finally got around it to play the first game last year, never finished it, and now this remaster comes out of nowhere, AND a good looking remaster.
@@depressedcheems9961yeah a amnesia, Outlast clone. People jerked it off because it was back to horror survival after RE6 going the opposite direction. Bad characters, bad monsters and generic first person gameplay and jump scares.
i waited years before i finally caved and got dead rising on the pc, 3 months ago. so of course, they announce a remake/remaster. I am trying not to be mad.
Before you doing anything else. Please add the unlock all DLC for Resident Evil 4 Remake. The game is incredilbly hard and can cause rage at some points during half the game. Pretty please add the Unlock All DLC.
Capcom the rating and review of resident evil mobile in the App Store is not doing good. People are saying it’s not offline and require a iPhone 15 pro and pro max. People are also saying the touch screen are not good and they need a backbone controller.
Honestly Re4 Remake was okay but it lacked character development build up between Leon and all the main bosses to the point that it felt empty like something was missing and the charm between ada and Leon like in the original it also missed the mark by cutting out a few places for example the iconic laser room lava room ect… they also cut some wepons like some guns and the fire Granades also they should of let the player have a unbreakable knife once you max it out they could of even added the Leon throwing mechanism like in Re6 what a missed opportunity also a option to put the laser on most guns rather than just two pistols other than that it was not as bad as Re3 Remake. What CAPCOM needs to focus on right now is Resident Evil 0 it really Deserves a Remake from the wild enemies to the cutscenes also scary atmosphere to the chill safe zone relaxing melody music the rain pouring down saving on the typewriter to the graphics was way ahead of its time in 2002 this game was overlooked by resident evil fans just because Capcom decided to try something different way to soon! The item dropping instead of the box now that technology has advanced they can improve and put the item box and even try making it a two player mode or you can select single mode with Your partner being Ai but it still allows you to switch between them like the original with way better graphics and better gameplay they also need to implement new ideas for example What ever happens to Billy Coen at the End of Resident Evil 0 Where he just walks off into the woods? There could be a new segment where you play as Billy Coen trying to get out of the woods to safety but along the way he encounter zombie dogs and zombies maybe even new enemies maybe even somehow Ada Wong spots Billy Coen while passing by with the helicopter and helps him out they could also have a Rebecca chamber segment where you play getting to the mansion I am telling you there are many possibilities they could even put that in the DLC for Resident Evil 0 Remake Gold edition I think now is a perfect chance for this Remake more than Ever before they go on dabbling With Resident Evil 1 and Code Veronica and Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil Outbreak.
They Remade the game, just at moden standards. A remaster is just resolution and texture updates. Sometimes lighting. RE2 and FF7 are not considered actual remakes cause they're so different from the source material. The term going around at the time to differ those from something like Crash Trilogy and RE1, where the gameplay was exactly the same if not extremely similar, was re-imagining instead of remake
@Jackal_YT I don't want people to consider this a remaster because if they expect this type of upgrade from future remasters, they're gonna be severely disappointed. This is the first time a company remakes a game and labels it a remaster. When a game is Remade, you should expect the same game, but if it was made today. It doesn't matter if the coding is the same as long as it looks and feels like a modern game. I appreciate the devs calling themselves out for not putting the effort of RE2 Remake, but they're confusing people more than anything
See, now why couldn't we have gotten "deluxe remasters" for Resident Evils 2, 3, and 4! That's what I wanted, not the butchering of the story, lore, characters, and taking out a bunch of stuff and censoring other things. While I'm happy for Dead Rising fans, I'm just so disappointed. This is literally all that was needed for old RE games, but instead we got Westernized slop.
Re2 remake wasn’t perfect, but it was still a fantastic game. And Re4 remake is better than the original so i don’t know what you’re complaining about. RE4 remake specifically massively improved the lore and the characters, giving them real and interesting depth and connection.
Thank you for saying this. The fans really swallowed those garbage remakes. They are okay, but nothing beats the originals. They deserve the remaster treatment
@@GrayWolf5000 Yeah when you have hardcore nostalgia rose colored glasses on they might look terrible, not everyone wants to play a game with fixed camera angles and tank controls my guy and the Remakes proves that by introducing newcomers to the franchise.
@@JackMorgan06 I really disagree. Do I think there were things that could have been improved on the originals? Sure. But I feel like the Japanese, cheesy, B-movie soul of the series has been stripped away. The series has been Westernized, and there's just no getting that magic back.
designer/director of re5...revelations and re7.....the weakest in the series...making re9...no thanks. dont want his game design..another open open world. nope
