Manon looks so chill with the throws lol it’s weird with a grappler archetype. That’s my type of character if we’re talking “functions” though gotta see how T-Hawk girl version is. Interesting what you said about manon that everything looks really subtle and thats literally what judo mean, the way of gentleness. Im an art director at a game studio and I’m completely in love on how well they mixed both themes on manon, it’s a perfect match that I’ve never noticed before. Did judo for four years and to this day is my favorite martial art.

Manon may not have vortex after command grabs. It would be a way to balance that type of grappler.

there's a part where you were looking to see if down fierce combod into grab. I don't think it does, I think marisa presses a button there so we see 'punish counter' lingering on screen and then a new 'counter' pop up. I -think-. But I also think she can combo into either a different grab or when her grab meter thing is higher. I love all of these new characters so much. I was 100% sure I was gonna play Kimberly for quite a while. now I love Manon, I love Marisa... but I'm probably maining JP. I think I'm gonna be obsessed with this game in the kind of way where I know how to play everyone though, tbh. Looking to get into it in a way I haven't gotten into anything in a long time. eat, drink, and breathe sf6. When Blanka electrifies the doll, you can see he doesn't whiff any buttons in the air or on the ground into it, but he also didn't look like he did a motion either. It probably wouldn't make much sense to be a QCF or a DP motion, and it doesn't look like he does a motion since he's completely still, so they might have changed electricity to something like lariat or maybe even a TAP input, though I doubt that second one would make sense. It'd make sense for it to be 3x punches since there really isn't any need for different strengths in this game. In 4 they had different startup and different advantage depending on what button you ended with, but they've already done away with that in 5, so there's not much reason to keep the old mash input. EX electricity can probably be done with kicks and since they've already done away with his crouch stance in 5 they probably aren't planning on bringing it back.

Hello jmcrofts I'm kinda new to FG I only played MK11 on ps when come out. I moved to pc and I want to go back to fighting games I love the online cross platform aspect so which choices do I have? I used to think Deejay was kind of wack outside his bizarro Guile gameplay- but I really like how they developed him into this post-retirement party monster and extrapolated on the unique parts of his moveset.

Good call on no Honda combat footage as of yet, for me Dee Jay vs Dhalsim was the most technical of these matches. JP whiffed a lot of stuff and Manon didn't use her skill counter (+1 for every throw). As for best character, I'm still waiting for CAMMY!

Honestly itt seems like Marisa is activating a Ex counter or something. Jmcrofts i saw your top 10 worst super videos and i distinctly remember Remy's counter. Its also possible SF6 took inspiration from MK crushing blows (not a huge fan, but maybe SF6 will do it better) and these 'punishing counter' tags increase the damage output exponentially.
