CAPE COD BLUEFIN TUNA ON STICKBAIT - YouFishTV 

Those same guys worked with us that week, and the fishing was tough for all of us. They too struggled badly and didnt catch mutch. The bite was NOT HOT by any of the local standards. Domenic Petraca did get one nice fish while we were there tho and other bloke with a casting boat got none. Was tough going weather wise too. Our room mates, the french guys also got an 80 incher fishing with Jessie and Travis Collins of spinal rods. Our was about 76-78inches. cheers mate.

No we spoke to these guys they were reccreatioanl fishing but with the pro method. Seemed to be popular way to fish for them.

They look almost identical. At the end of the day tho, the lure in question caught nothing, and the lure that caught the fish was indeed and OCEA PENCIL by Shimano.

I've caught lots of commercial fish by trolling, used to be the standard way to catch them east of the cape.

Perfect harpoon shot!! The flesh of this tuna was not violated. Hopefully they bled the fish and slush chilled it to preserve the maximum goodness.

Nice one guys,just thinking if thats only a baby by local standards, what type of fight and outfit would be required to land an 800 to 1000 lber,the mind boggles at how hard one would pull.

There's a couple dozen guys that are based on cape cod that could have put you onto 10x that many fish. 1 bite in seven days? Not bad for a guy from jersey.

Honestly this whole fishing affair is UNFAIR and COWARDLY. Not to you guys but the whole fishing concept. It's like beating a man while his hands are tied behind his back. How on earth can the bluefin fight back if you have it hooked in the mouth? Can you try running away from someone when they have you hooked on YOUR mouth? The fish cant exert its strength without tearing apart its jaw. Pound per pound and without the hook, the bluefin can topple your entire boat. Absolutely an unfair fight.

I'm sorry if you're offended. But what I said is the truth. Fishing is a coward man's sport. You place a bait, wait like a predator for a victim to bite, and then hide behind your rod and line fighting the animal with your gloved hands while it's tearing apart its entire face. The truth hurts. But you can't help it if someone held a mirror to your face. If you see an ugly reflection, that's yours and yours alone.

I'm the one awake and you're the one asleep bro. Stand back a little and look at this honestly. I'm not the one who just killed an endangered species. You can't deny that. Wiki the bluefin and you will see the label "CE" (Critically Endangered) This may be fun to you. Catching such a big animal. But you have no idea of the ecological magnitude of killing this breeding-age fish at the twilight of this species. Feel free to catch fish, I'll cheer you on. But spare endangered animals PLEASE.
