The ferries leave from 2 places in Hyannis (South Street & Ocean Street) as well as Woods Hole (Falmouth). In Hyannis, you can visit the Cape Cod Maritime Museum. There's also an old jail cell/jail house in Barnstable Village (next to the Trayser Museum), not to be confused with the oldest courthouse & oldest library in the US (the courthouse is now called The Tales of Cape Cod & it's the Sturgis Library, near the Tales of Cape Cod).
