Fogo - a remote volcanic island off the coast of West Africa - where a river of molten lava is slowly engulfing the mountain village of Portela. For locals, consequences are disastrous, and it's up to volcano expert George to get as close as possible so he can provide emergency crews with critical information.

I remember the 1995 eruption. I was 9 and the ground was shaking like an earthquake the day before and around 3 to 4 am the volcano erupted. The people who lived closer to the volcano had to evacuate. It was beautiful to see the eruption but sad at the same time for those who lost their homes .

@2:22 Self-entitlement in someone else's home. Typical and repulsive.

Would have been better if this was done by someone who takes it seriously rather than make it seem like a fun adventure.

Host/narrator seems to be almost completely oblivious to the fact that people's homes and livelihoods are being destroyed all around him. It's the tone he uses that makes it seem like he is completely disconnected from the human suffering that is all around him. Maybe he needs to take some classes in emotional intelligence.
