5:55 as an american. Who watches a bit of aussie content on youtube. Why is it specifically western and country that you guys like so much? We think it's funny
They DRZ's are bullet proof and perfectly suited to that type of riding. People bag on them when comparing them to new age enduro bikes but in my opinion the DRZ is better suited. Smoother and mellower power which doesn't tire you out but also teaches you to carry momentum and flow through the tracks. The soft suspension is really good when your riding for 6-8hrs a day, sure you could hit things faster with newer style suspension but you'd also be physically wrecked by lunch time. Bulletproof design, we rode these bikes through seat deep water multiple times without drowning one of them, I know the newer model KTM's easily drown with their open air box design. Personally I'd rather do this sort of riding on a DRZ rather than a KTM, but that's just my preference. I think your overall enjoyment on a cape tour mainly relates back to the tour company running the show, people on your tour (guides and customers) and your attitude on the tour (positive attitude and taking in the scenery and moments ad they come)
@Love Offroad thanks so much mate , really appreciate it , l have a klr which l do enjoy on the dirt ,nothing too rough , thinking of something lighter for a bit more fun , l tried the crf300l, l wasn't impressed, l no spring chicken 😀 maybe l will try the drz 👍
Based on everything I've heard from people who've ridden/ owned the crf300. It's quite overpowered and weighs the same as a drz400. The ABS on it can cause some issues for offroad as well. The only real positive seems to be low seat height for shorter people.
Don't stress mate, doesn't cost me anything to reply or try to help out. No I don't think so, once you have it jetted properly (they are very good stock) you won't really need to adjust it unless you start doing mods like exhaust or opening up airbox, or unless you have massive changes in elevation. The beauty of a carby they are easy to fix and can't really go too wrong. On the other hand when a fuel pump shits itself your stuffed.
