Welcome back to another episode guys!!
This one is the first in a series of vids from our travels up to Cape York with the Caravan in tow!!

Thankyou to your whole family for allowing us to share your trip, via RU-vid. One day I live in hope that we will go on a holiday like yours. Realistically I'm still tied to physio and hydro to improve my situation. In the meantime your RU-vid channel will keep us enjoying our beautiful Aussie Bushland, through your experiences. Your 3 children are having the best opportunity travelling while young, educating them about local knowledge especially crocs around the waterways. Your tips for tyres and pressures, dust proofing, oil catch can, all things that give a better drive. Safety wise in your tinney, did you have life vests? An elderly friend and his relatives didn't wear their safety vests, and a rogue wave hit them and capsized their boat. One of their relatives drowned. Please be safe. See you on your next part in the journey. Those pre cleaners are terrible. The best thing to get is the Donaldson cyclonic air filter.... Also, FRESH AIR is the way to go on dusty roads.. Creates a positive pressure in the cabin, thus pushing out dust.

I did this trip about 30 years ago just before we had kids with basic 4wd and tents. I think we are about 5 years off from doing it again with a bit more luxury this time.. It was one of the greatest trips I have done and after watching this can't wait for the next time. love your work guys.

My wife and I have watched almost every episode since we first found you 6 weeks ago. We dont watch movies anymore, we watch you guys. So inspired we've now purchased a 22.6ft van and in the middle of upgrading to a new 4WD. Paying attention to every detail on what you guys use so we can mimic, that way we know the product has been trialed and tested. We want to create the same memories for our 2 kiddies and see our great country. Hope to one day see you guys on the road. Thank you for sharing

Can you add some more of the wildlife you see. You must come across a lot of random wildlife on your journeys and camps. Also like the way you get the kids involved in everything. So much better than sitting them in front of a TV or video game.

Another great video. I love watching your travels. I'm hoping to do an inland trip through Queensland next April/May and then consider our trip to WA. Your tips are terrific for off road too. The pool noodles again, the positive air in the van, saves heaps of money in the end and just as much time. And mate, that fingermark you had looked very much like a Moses Perch. Loveing content as always really enjoying this one because we are looking at doing the same trip in our caravan. Just a thought on the pre-cleaner for the snorkel. The oil is actually the mechanism that catches the dust, the foam is just a framework for the oil. From my Dirtbike experience running for days in bull dust with no provision to clean air filters at the end of the day you can use concentrated dishwashing liquid as a foam filter oil. Just cover the intake section or the foam with dishwashing liquid, work it through with your fingers just like he would filter oil and put it straight on the snorkel, you’ll see all the dust that the detergent catches at the end of the day and then rinse it out afterwards. Clean as a whistle.

Just use a used 'classy' women's stocking. Only a 'classy stocking' will do as when people question what you are using ... you can't just say you're using you wife's old nylons...It has to be something exotic (with a story behind it- like where you go ti from, an old swingers bar or such) like something from an Ex, or from an old affair you've had...ANyway...just saying...Double up an old stocking and socked in oil or detergent as suggested...works well !!!

FANTASTIC! We have missed you guys, this is the place we want to go when this blasted virus has gone away. Now in lockdown here for a month!. David Riley only takes about 30 seconds to hook up. And yep, when the stomper is hooked up, the standard stone guard is doin nothing

Hi Guys great vid, so good to have them back up again. Justin, just a question on the covers you showed fitted to the fridge vents, do you have them closed every time you hit the road or are they removable and you just fit them when you hit the dust. These vents were our biggest dust issue on the Gibb this year and i was wondering if covering them would effect the fridge's performance at all.

TerraRound Australia they are a permanent hatch. They can be opened in hot weather for better ventilation but we have a whirlybird on the roof that provides cooling

Great vid guys as usual, just a hot tip get yourself a maxtrax indeflate. It does 2 tyres at once and obviously halves your time,and best thing you dont need to bend down to watch the gauge just hook it over car bull bar or the stone guard on van. Approx $200 i think but well worth it. Look forward to your next vid,making us excited to do our trip next August.

I was looking over the area on Google Maps and something on the sidebar led me to www.cooktownandcapeyork.com/travel and I was surprised about how strict the alcohol restrictions were, but it did say something about being Indigenous Peoples land. We basically have the same in the US on Native American Tribal Reservations.

Hi Guys, Another great video. Just wanted to let you know if you dont already but DONT use your STONE STOMPER in the MUD. Just had a mate come back from north QLD and got caught in some rain, forgot to take off the stomper and it filled with Mud and then tore off and got completely destroyed. Have fun and go the Maroons.

Was up on the peninsula road a few weeks ago and it was rough as guts ,because the roadies where out on break for a bit.hopefully by the time your coming through it’s been graded again.was pretty rough in a semi.so jealous ,maybe next year!.

Hey mate, those pre filters do very little in the way of fine dirt, they're great for bugs and bigger particles but a great trick to those is getting one of the misses stockings and stretching it over the filter when you arent oiling the prefilters as it stops the very fine dust and also give you a slighter increase in vacuum which in turn give you slightly better boost on sandy surfaces as higher speeds. I use the little sockette stockings for the feet as they are perfect on carbs and are easier to dust off once you remove them.

Aside for forgetting the cutlery. Any suggestions on doing the cape in a tent. We’re bringing out kids 9 & 10 up and think we’ll get a fast pitch tent instead of pulling the camper.
