The insane savant-like hypermemory of T90 never ceases to amaze me. Tristan remembers a game of a random low elo dude from a couple of years ago. He remembers, on what map he played, in which corner he started, his aggressiveness (defensive / aggressive), what units he liked to make, how he defended with buildings. I barely remember my games from yesterday, bro...
I've always thought of the top 100 players sort of akin to Chess grand masters, and now that you mention it they seem to have similar game recall abilities.
I think Jose learned about counter units, but remembered it backwards. His armies were almost always superior but he took the engagements int he worst possible order consistently.
You're right! Could work in real life at least..! Heavy cav beats halberdiers since halberds don't have the length to compete with heavy lances, and one probably didn't want to be in a wooden ram when shot at by bullets due to wood shrapnel. Trenches aren't a thing here, but infantry with trenches or even forest beat artillery and gunpowder while horses are a bit riskier even if they are faster.
As a noob who started playing only recently, let me offer my perspective on why Blue hasn't attacked Red for so long: After clearing up the forward army & production buildings, I would think to myself: "Damn, if he had that much stuff forward, imagine what his base must look like. I probably only won that battle because that wasn't his full army, and the army I've got left after defending myself surely couldn't scratch his base, so I better focus on my eco and build up a really big army now before doing anything." After watching some of my replays and learning more about the game, I noticed how wrong that mentality is, because there could be absolutely nothing behind that forward army.
Ram+Cape is in theory a great comp, rams ignore ranged dmg and capes ignore melee :D but the micro to utilize it has to be there (And Ram loaded with capes moves faster than capes)
i always though if your villager is harvesting something and you tell them to do something else the resources carried were ALWAYS lost, thank you t90 we always got thing to learn by you
Absolutely lovin the series,i might wanna go to LEL myself when i return to AoE2 cause i just watched all the LEL and unique legends of T90 but last played the game 2 years ago
NICE... uploaded 7 minutes ago. Never was this early... love the Low Elo Legends. :3 Somehow seeing players who are not professionells is way more enjoyable for me. And the best if its diplomacy with many players and much backstabbery!
@@andrzejwilk7316 just gotta go into every game trying to do better than last game, and not caring about the outcome. Easier said than done obviously. But personally when I'm approaching every game with the mindset of just 'improve', usually focusing on 1 or 2 things I want to do better, then even if I lose I'm not too fussed about it. I treat all games like that though.. shooters/rts etc. more enjoyable to play that way, at least for me.
@@andrzejwilk7316 Do what I do and play like these guys do, and exist at a low elo! Sometimes you get clapped but sometimes you're the one clapping so its not so bad
The problem is without a high elo the game is unplayable the normal lobbys all want people on elo 1000 and above and are full with even higher elo players and elo is just frustrating when you go fast age 3 your ass is raided if you go scouth rush they are walld up and go one age 3 and overrun you with knights.
The last online game of AoE2de I played was on nomad, and I started by placing two houses as usual, then had no TC. I alt-f4 and have been watching T90 ever since.
This one is actually mind-blowing because there's so much they are doing wrong here that I never do and yet I'm around the same elo as them. I just suck lol
I play Megarandom all the time and see the double berries, and this is the only instance in which I've ever seen two sections close together so you can put a mill between them. And he doesn't do that.
21:00 Generally If a French word ends in C, R, F or L the final letter is pronounced. Otherwise last letter in a word isn't pronounced in French. ( etudiant would say like etudian doesn't say the "t" at the end) In Spanish that word is José (J is pronounced as H ) and the last letters are pronounced too.
I still play like that xD I still build an AI army and march gloriously either to victory or death. Yep, I'm garbage and I play AOE2 simply for the fun of doing exactly that. Who needs build orders? The only sad thing is that AI enemies don't build huge armies usually, but send forth like companies of 10 to 20...
In regard to the attacking eco; for me its the worry that if I raid t heir eco, I would lose the main fight cos I'd need those horses for the main fight
For blue, putting a single stable on infinite build scouts and putting the rally point onto red's farms would have made that game so much easier. For red, hugging the edge of the map, or going south west and sending his rams in and sniping TC's would have been useful to stall blue. Red lost because he just kinda sat around with his military and let them get fed to organ gun deathball. Like, two onagers would have gone such a long way.
The crazy thing is that Jose could have easily taken that fight if he had taken all his nights out of his rams and engaged with his whole army at once rather than sending groups of ten to be shot down over and over
That was painful at times, but as a whole was actually a pretty good LEL- and it was even below my standard of 600 (imo,, when its lower than this that, games are usually just too frustrating/boring and the cast devolves into non aoe stuff super quick) but this one was an oulier 👍🏻
t90 like that castle maybe finished with 1 less HP, my towncenter also once got up with HALF the HP ?? it was on fire and nothing attacked it since the map was michi too
I played against joesmiguel's Teutons a couple months ago. I dream of one day being a low elo legend but I'm actually starting to improve unfortunately.
Raiding is for people who aren't overwhelmed and panicking while playing. I'd raid if I were capable of anything other than going ohpoopohpoopohpoop whenever I hit any sort of resistance
When I started watching this video and saw the ELO I was expecting to see a crazy fully-retarded game. And while many of their mistakes would have been obvious even for people who never played the game, the whole think was much more advanced than I would have imagined. Both players even clicked up to Imperial Age at around 38 minutes. THat is still not super-fast but I expected 50min or even an hour or more. To be honest, I have seen worse among 800 and 900 ELO people. Interesting to watch.
Its really a shame that turks are so good against teutons. Its not Historicall accurate because german crusaders completle wiped the floor with the turks.
when i started playing the game I never understood why anyone should attack villagers, why u should massacre civilians, destroying the military was always my goal and if i did so i expected my enemy to resign
1) The Americans are unable to pronounce “ch”, as used in German “ich”, for example? That would be “ik“ for them, or something like that? Is there a way to explain the pronunciation to them? 2) I don't think lower ELO players can think of using rams against units. It took me many years to ever consider that. You might learn it from the AI though as it loves to destroy trebuchets with rams.
Tbh I never was a fan of raiding... Probably I was thinking too real world like and like why kill civilians, they did nothing wrong... And sending in a few units to probably get some kills and die, I always would feel bad for them, because just think about it, you send some units to die, how would they feel? xD Yeah I know it's stupid, but I really hated playing against NPC's because of this, they wouldn't let me build up. XDDD There is a big difference in play style if you want to be a pro player. :D
