They do pronounce the P in Phnom Penh, it is pe-NOM pen. It must take a lot of work to get so many things wrong on this show.

PyongYang and PyongCHang are two different cities, only one of them being a capital and therefore a correct answer. The problem was not about pronunciation or the number of vowels (which, given it can be written Pyeongyang, would have been a different issue; I also thought about how diphthongs are vowels but supposedly don't count in this show, e.g. Hanoi).

it wasn't a pronunciation issue, they used the CH sound instead of Y, it would be like calling Andrew Yang Andrew Chang and then saying it's the same name
