Timothée and Taylor have great chemistry! I noticed in a lot of their interviews they seem to easily get lost in one another’s conversation and almost forget the interviewer is waiting for a response. They have a lot in common and it’s a pleasure to see two seemingly sweet awkward ppl be so easy with one another (coming from an anxiously shy awkward person myself lol It’s a blessing when I feel comfort with another person bc it’s rare ❤)
I agree. The interviewer seems like a gooseberry in this situation! She's not matching their energy at all, whereas they are super in-sync and comfortable with each other (like honeymoon phase?). The interviewer might as well not even be there...
We can always tell the difference between an interviewer who is actually a fan of the work vs who is just doing their job 😅 Tim and Tay were good sports
The movie being “scary or freaky” was not the point of the movie at all. It was not meant to be scary, and it minimizes the emotional intensity of the film to put it in conversations like It or Chucky. I walked away from the film blown away by the radical story of love and acceptance of otherness of this story, the gore is just a consequence of their condition.
The movie can be both things simultaneously, there are moments where you are definitely supposed to get scared the jump scares with the mom and Sully at the end come to mind. It’s not a full blown horror movie but the horror elements are most certainly present.
this interview missed the point of the film unfortunately but I’m glad to say Timmy and Taylor were insightful even when the questions weren’t connected to the movies at all.
The interviewer keeps pushing the idea of a horror movie. Has she not understood the idea of the movie. It's so annoying going round and round the word "scary" and "horror". I just watched it and I was blown away by the many layers around the core of the idea - two people with no chance of surviving because of how they were born. And love - pure and desperate. The ending was so impactful. Superb work.
@@Elizabeth-pb5vq: no.. it’s really not bad or terrible at all!! I saw it twice already & they all did an AMAZING ACTING JOB & it’s really not gross!! Especially if you are a Timmy fan > DO NOT MISS IT !!!! ❤❤ 🥰 !!
Yes that is the depth of the film but on the surface the film is horrifying at times. The gore is stomach turning at some points, it definitely depends on the person and what they enjoy watching but her comparison to a horror film is not far fetched.
Poor interviewer, didn’t touch on other core themes including love, isolation, generational trauma, addiction…very very one dimensional which is not what the film was intending…did the interviewer watch it?
why are people acting like the movie is sooo scary i mean if you strip off the cannibalism stuff its literally just your everyday story about love and finding your identity. not saying i didn't like it, i loveddd it
I’m so glad to know that IT traumatized Timothée Chalamet because to this day my husband sends me pictures of the monster because I freak out so bad. I love scary movies but I can never watch IT again. So now I know I’m as brave as Timothée Chalamet😂😂😂
NO ENTIENDO NADA DE LO QUE DICEN,LO QUE HAYA PASADO ANTES YA NO IMPORTA ,SOLO IMPORTA DESDE HOY LO QUE DIGASY A SABES YO EXIJO QUE SEAS COMO YO FIEL DESDE HOY.23-1-23.
I don’t like the description the interview gave to the movie. It isn’t this scary horror movie style IT or whatever. It’s self-discovery, love story beyond anything else.
the movie was very odd and uncomfortable to watch but yeah she 100% did not watch the movie its less of a classical horror and all she talks and seems to describe is ur normal horror
I refused to see this movie. I can't believe they try to pass it off as a love story when the main jest is they kill and eat innocent people! that's just sick, and disgusting! and trying to say oh over look we kill and eat people look at it as a deranged Romeo and Juliet is morbid in it's own level... The Movie is sick, twisted, and demented.... I am actually Extremely disappointed in Timothee for even Agreeing to make it. let alone try to defend it's sick, and perverse storyline as being just a Love story. And I am speaking as a Timothee Chalamet fan. ( Makes me wonder actually if he and Army Hammer have more in common than anyone knew?) And in all honesty has pushed me a bit away from Timmy. He does seem a bit more creepy since he made this movie, Where as Before I looked up to him as a role model... It is my hope that when Dune part 2 comes out it will change how this movie has colored my image of Timmy. But I have to agree with the interviewer, just what views of this God forsaken sick movie I have had the displeasure of seeing in trailers. It is Nothing I ever want to watch, and is the first movie Timmy has ever been in that I refused to see. and how creepy he has acted since making this movie. And in my opinion it is No love story it is about to sick, disgusting Character's who should be shot on site before they murder anyone else. Don't agree with the subject matter as it is Not Normal by any level, and Don't agree with the defending of two Character's that are monster's by any definition of the meaning.
Just because it’s depicting something does not mean that it is glorifying it. The movie makes it very clear that what they are doing is wrong. Nothing works out for them either so I don’t know how that is what you took away from this movie.
