Capitol rioter Jenna Ryan sat down for an exclusive interview with NBC Senior National correspondent Kate Snow to speak out on her involvement in the Capitol Riot on January 6th. Ryan, who says she deeply regrets entering the Capitol that day, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor and got a 60-day prison sentence.

But not the intelligence to foresee the consequences of her action. We call these people "dumb". They are all miserably misguided and have no inkling of the results of her words and conduct. Clearly, she is not a leader and she makes a very dutiful sheep. Many states have enacted laws directing that if their crimes have caused injury to others, and they publicize their conduct as in a book, the profits can be applied for the benefit of the injured person. A good lawyer can follow her sales of the book and bring an appropriate action to have the profits applied to the benefit of the family of the dead policemen or other injured party.

I didn't read it like that at all. I thought he was being nice to her. He was saying as a DEFENDANT she isn't that interesting. Meaning what she did on Jan 6. was minor and not that big a deal compared to some others, I don't think that was meant to be a burn at all. I think he was saying based on what she did that day, and her part in the insurrection she should not be getting as much attention as some others. That she's a minor figure in the events of that day. And that's why she's UNINTERESTING. Now if you're just a minor figure among the mob of that day, someone who just got "caught up in the events of the day", and also didn't partake in the violence, then logically you shouldn't be punished or demonized as much as some others That's not much of a burn. Now that is what I think he was saying. What I would say might be something else.

There is a solid population of Americans who have made it through life thus far by deflecting responsibility for everything and putting their fingers in their ears to block out objective truth and fact (which can both be really unpleasant to deal with).
