The Capitol Hill in Rome is a sacred place where the main Roman shrine, the symbol of the city's immortality - the temple of Jupiter - was located.
And although it is the smallest of the seven hills of the Eternal City, only 46 meters above sea level, the ancient history of Rome began on the Capitoline Hill. The main pagan temples and the first mint were built here.
