Really enjoying your videos sir. Amongst the Martial Arts I have done, I've trained Capoeira for a number of years. I knew about the razors and knives used back in the day, but felt sure there must have been a bigger weapons component to the art at some point (sticks, machetes, swords, etc.) So much of the hand movement and flow has that "armed" feel to it.
Sou do Brasil e o uso de espada curta e facão era comum no passado. Olha aqui "Capoeira Maculele" :ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AB09x1O8A1Y.html
As a Brazilian I have seen Capoeira with machete and it's very rare to see it in public, so it's definitely practiced in private. If you ever have the chance to see this rare event I guarantee that you will see sparks fly due to machete crashing together at full force.
Just an observation: there are two traditions of weapons that are usually related with capoeira: maculelê (somewhat similar to eskrima, but more like a dance) and jogo do pau, also called esgrima lusitana, master bimba was a master in this art, but today few people still practice this in Brazil, due to the government repression.
TheRoland19111 then there are the weapons traditions that developed independent of capoeira that bears many similarities to it. Not to mention the various forms of stick and bladed forms practiced on the continent.
Bruh, your eyes are reflecting like a Panther. You practice so much you got possessed with the spirit of the Black Panthers. HEEE HEEE. Love your channel Da'Mon. You are an excellent teacher.
This effectively is an impenetrable form of offense/ defense with a handed weapon. Outside of the use of firearms, mastering this would essentially make one impervious to attack, from even large groups of attackers.
Can you demonstrate with Weapons of the congo please? I lik e watching your videos from time to time when its called to attention. My mom is Congolese and Id like to understand and see how weapons were utilized in prehistoric warfare. My mom is from the Mongo tribe of Congo

It is exactly what I said it is in the video . I am moving with the ginga and applying machete cuts as I move. If we're to use a stick or machete from a ginga while adhering to constraints of that step this is what I would do. Is this how the old capoeiristas fought with blades and sticks? We don't know but if we look at how old mestres play with razors or symbolic razors the movement are natural extension of the arm movements of the ginga which is essence what I am doing with longer blades.
+Oscillating Blade yes sir i did. i found your ideas very interesting and i want to talk more in depth i just haven't had a moment. i give me a day or so and i will have more to say but i am very intrigued.
