I went to a safe inn in Nagoya.
It is a capsule hotel with many free offerings.
Rice, miso soup, eggs, drinks, alcohol, etc. are free.
It's close to downtown Nagoya, so it's a great place for a long stay!
This is the Nagoya branch of the "Anshin Oyado" capsule hotel in Kyoto, which we introduced previously.¥
🎥Click here to see the very popular video of the Kyoto branch's capsule hotel.

When I heard the first time that people in Japan live in internet cafes or capsule hotels I couldn't understand it. But it's cheaper than renting an apartment, you have hot springs, massage chairs, working spaces with free wifi, everyday drinks and a minimum to eat, all stuff that costs when you own an apartment. It's really a good thing for a while, during studying or for a half year till finding something. Awesome what capsule hotels have. It'll be possible to travel around Japan without any luggage because everywhere it's possible to clean the clothes while wearing hotel dresses and toothbrush, hair stuff..... everything is everywhere. That's awesome

We're known to be quite nice here in Canada. However, I'm sure if you asked most Canadians who we thought were the nicest people/culture/way of life... We'd say the Japanese. Not only do they seem to be awfully charming, interesting people at a glance but from what I know of, the Japanese Canadians or visitors to Canada, make a country a better place. Their creativity and imagination is off the charts. Their attention to detail (chefs kiss).

As an American I’m so envious of the way Japanese culture is. Everything is so beautiful, organized, clean, respected and taken care of. Most of the free stuff would be stolen or messed with or destroyed here. If Tokyo wasn’t so expensive, I’d move there in a heartbeat. Also, everywhere you go everything is relatively quiet. The people seem to respect others by not being over enthusiastic or loud for the purpose of being loud around others.

I love how much this is focused on providing optimal service. People who worry about such an idea being abused if implemented in their own culture might want to thin about how much it would change a society if this became a mainstream habit. I first heard of these capsule hotels five to ten years ago. Instantly loved the idea and would like to see it in the UK to help young people avoid homelessness by being able to keep their expenses down and become much less vulnerable to landlord whims and superiority in the class system.

The US has a very clean egg supply, and we wash and refrigerate our eggs similar to Japan. There's millions of Americans eating over-easy/sunny side up (partially raw) eggs every day in the US and of those millions and millions through the whole year, 142,000 get salmonella. I will eat an American, fresh, high quality egg raw on my rice (fresh from a high price Asian rice cooker) just like in this video. The American way may not be as controlled as in Japan, I can't say if our methods are equivalent, but any part of the inside of an egg, white or yolk can have salmonella, so the fact that there are so many people who frequently eat runny yolks attests to the safety of the US egg supply for raw consumption.

@@MilwaukeeWoman someone who raised chickens chiming in to tell you that the USA requires all eggs sold to be washed in a solution that takes off the cuticle as well as bacteria. The layer of shell called the cuticle is important for keeping bacteria out long term while they incubate (or sit on a shelf). So eggs from the places that wash them require refrigeration and to meet a minimum temperature when cooking to lessen the chance of food born illness. Factory farms produce dirty and really weak shelled eggs because of living conditions and stress to the animals, not to mention they just don't taste as good as a happy free range chicken. But I digress it's to cover up how nasty the eggs arrived so they deep scrub the poop off.
