Captain Beefheart & The Magic Band - Live at Whisky a Go Go 04/03/74 

Something that most people don't know. The Club owners at this show instructed that no one without a reservation was allowed in the show. A limo showed up with a reservation-less Paul McCartney and John Lennon. They were politely turned away. Imagine that. The first and only public appearance post Beatle breakup of Lennon/McCartney at the Captain Beefheart show, and they were turned down! When the Captain heard of this, he extended an invitation for them to return the next day. Unfortunately they could not make it.
