i grew up as a child watching captain's adventures... and after so many years i'm 29, and i found "endless odissey"... with the Captain, with My Captain coming back, and looking for his men once again, to fly again with that flag. i was happy as a child. it's been hard not to cry for happiness
@smokey McB maybe you should stop using other people's comments and contents to spread your bullshit. If you are able to prove what you said, you wouldn't be here posting comments on youtube. You would publish a scientfic work. Which is exactly what your proposed video is not: not scientific, not work.
@@Minnan1 It was sort of the endpoint of an evolution where the animators made him darker & darker. The exception being a much younger Harlock who appears in Cosmo Warrior Zero, with both eyes and a blue flight suit. But even that version had hair color drabbed from auburn to a light brown, and hazel eyes to almost gray. So he went from this fabulously plumed bird of prey in the 78 version and Arcadia of my Youth, to darker hair, paler skin, less color in the costume. Til you get vampire-like Harlock in the 2013 movie. I hope we get bright, sarcastic and alive Harlock if they do it again.
@smokey McB I know the story chronology (such as it is, since the Galaxy Express stuff & Harlock Saga & SSX all have their own pocket dimensions. Matsumoto reweaves the story with each telling. And Dimensional Voyage tried to combine them all, plus DNA Sights, and Yamato and that very first Harlock story where he finds the android boy Zero.
@smokey McB sorry. I mostly watched Harlock & Yamato. Galaxy Express movies aren't even on the streaming services. I've seen maybe the first 3 seasons of the old TV series. I know how the stories overlap because I read the different Harlock manga. (SSX sort of made sense after reading the little filler series)
i know it sounds foolish, but i felt like i was in that bar and in that prison, when they wondered how was it possible to see him, still alive, and still remembering them. As the captain doesn't forget, no one who knew him will ever forget him
I found Captain Harloc when he and his ship cameo'd in Galaxy Express 999. I was 12, late night and I found a channel that showed anime. My young Mormon mind was blown. Now 37 years later, my young children are experiencing anime. Naruto....Jojo is making a come back.....time to pull out my Queen Esmareldas, Captain Harloc and the Legendary Galaxy Express 999.
i think this song would fit the arcadia in the 3d movie of harlock pretty well too :) just imagine at the start of the song the scene when the arcadia emerges from that black cloud in space for the first time
Conheci o Harlock quando assisti o filme de 2013 e o AOMY, sendo q a Endless Oddyssey eh um clássico que deveria ter sido dublado para o português assim como outros animes do Leijii Matsumoto que chegaram no Brasil (Patrulha Estelar,conhecido mundo afora como Space Battleship Yamato e Gun Frontier) seria um sonho ver essa série dublada e com alta qualidade de imagem

Matsumoto has some weird tastes where his own work is concerned. He disowned this, easily one of the best Harlock series, yet he fawns over Harlock Saga and Galaxy Railways, which both kind of sucked.
