Honestly, POTC has everything. Good story, Humor, action, strong women and men fighting beside each other, character development and great actors. For real, I love this series so much.

I actually cried at the end of this. With what's going on today, I just get so angry. The greed and deception of one person in Depp's life can cause a domino effect that completely destroys such a beloved character and a phenomenal series. Captain Jack Sparrow meant so much to me, and his death was not on the silver screen. It's such a vile, corporate ending to such a pure character that it terrifies me of the world we live in, that how our vain drives can kill such intangible things as Jack Sparrow.

I actually loved this series. (I grew up watching the series with my father) I remember when Jack Sparrow was absolutely selfish, arrogant, and never thought of anyone else... to when Jack Sparrow was selfless, loyal, and compassionate.

It's always great looking back at Jack's story with a different perspective, really listening to the tiny hints of his backstory in all the dialogue. Jack was always a good man. He pretended to be selfish, self serving, all sorts, but he had always done what was right. And every time he got betrayed, every time he got punished for his right acts, he kept going and doing them. Every time the situation called for it, he stepped up to the task. He started by freeing slaves, and encompassed what the idealised version of piracy was: freedom, true freedom, away from bureaucracy, corruption, backstabbing, unjust laws. It's why he wanted nothing to do with actual piracy and pirates, because he knew what really mattered

Thank you Johnny Depp for gracing our screens with one of the greatest fictional pirates of all time. This franchise will truly never be the same without you.

8:50 was a perfect moment between jack and Barbossa, they are both legends of the seas, have seen a hell of a lot of the world and are now being hunted. It shows the respect they have for each other as well as the weird loyalty between them even though they have both tried to kill the other.

Cpt. Jack Sparrow and Barbossa is just an incredible duo. I know Johnny as Jack made this series amazing, but I also remember that moment when Barbossa sacrificed himself to save his daughter. Her: "Who am I to you? Barbossa: Treasure. I'm a grown man, but the moment he jumps down and looks into her eyes makes me cry all the time.
