It's not $100,000 it is the weight of the catch in pounds. He has a quota of 100,000lbs in weight of crab. He also mentions he made $100k in 3 hours, which was probably just one small string of crab.

Crazy how much it cost consumers versus what boat gets paid. It’s sold and bought 3-5 times before it sees a table!!

And who can afford it most of the time already, now add on a tanking economy. Just like anything else in your local grocery store, ...maybe even moreso, a lot of the seafood they get ends up in the dumpster, right next to the tons of the unreasonably overpriced prepared foods that go unsold!

Get ready for the costs to go even higher since 3 seperate crabbing seasons have been halted for the 2022-2023 seasons due to catastrophically low numbers.

He's very different to some of the other captains, and you can see it in how the crew behave: clear instructions, realistic expectations, everyone getting on with their jobs for the most part. Compare that to the mess that is Wild Bill's crew, and it's a whole world of difference.

he doesn't fish his crew does..anyone can operate a crab boat and bark orders from a comfortable seat, feet on the wheel drinking coffee and chain smoking..GPS and cordinence does all the work for them..Over fishing the Alaska oceans will soon come to a screeching halt.

Get ready for them to go even higher since the Alaskan govt halted the 2022-2023 Opilio, Red and Blue crab seasons due to crabs going poof. They are trying to figure out what's happening, They think it could be a combination of factors. Our grocer doesn't have any Alaskan crabs at all.

He was stating he just made 100k in three hours by catching 35,000 in said three hours. His quota is 100,000 lbs, also why he said the 35k lbs has them third of the way done. I think you misunderstood
