I mean he is the V2 of Combat initiation, And since he is inspired by V2, He was meant to be a better version of us. You're supposed to Conquer him, A skill check even to test if you are even worthy of going to the next level, Especially when the next boss is the vagabond himself.
@@TigerWithAnChristmasHat1224 thing is, in ultrakill most of the weapons are hitscan, but in combat initiation most of the weapons are projectile based. Aiming on a fast target is hard enough, combine that with prediction, captain should def get a speed nerf or easier way to tell where he's gonna go
Hes actually not too difficult if you have a sword or coins, but imo the problem with that is that hes kind of anti creativity since it forces you to have a specific weapon to hit him. the other two bosses arent like this either, since jason and vagabond can be defeated with any loadout since they dont run away the whole time.
@@TigerWithAnChristmasHat1224 i get the we are supposed to kill him, but i dont find a barrel coming out of nowhere that takes away half your hp fun lets compare v2's core eject to captains barrel. v2 has an audio que and a visual que (him not shooting) before he uses his core eject captain seemingly uses it when he feels like it and he only has a less the half second animation that you can barely see before he throws it
the boss is so ridiculous. It's fun to give him a beating but most of his attacks are just.. 1. Getting close to him makes your health go instantly to half 2. The barrel explodes before you can dash away and it's sort of a RNG guessing whenever he stops shooting 3. HE KEEPS WALKING AWAY I feel like this boss is being handholded. Vagabond, too, is hard, yes most of his attacks are unavoidable, but heck you can learn his pattern. Sure Captain is meant to represent the player BUT WHY IS HE FASTER THAN US
He's actually way easier to fight if you're out in the open and just parry his bullets. With luck and skill you can even parry his barrel and hit him for big damage.
I can agree the barrel can be ridiculous. An easy way to go against it is to use the freeze ray. The freeze ray can freezes the bomb giving you a chance to counter him with his own medicine. That's if he's close to the bomb and it does reward you for killing him with his own bomb. Tho in the end doing will take a while and even so most players would just want to quickly kill him since he does jump around.
there is like a warning, you just have to watch the captain's arm if hes gonna reach out his pocket and throw the barrel or just keep on shooting, but its so fast, it wont let us have time to react
sometiems, captian throws a barrel. the barrel takes a long time to explode when no target is near it, i recommend parrying captian's bullets back to him while keeping your distance, in this room of course
And now he has a hit scan long shot attack that he can't miss if you want to put on Bloxxers on top of No Mercy, great idea. (It's a blue eye attack so I don't think it's parryable? If it is parryable please god tell me I'm wrong.)
ok but the barrel has no warning at all its like if minos prime would randomly hit you with "JUDGEMENT" without warning also you can still take damage from the barrel even if you parry it
