Checked All ocean website, still advertising specs from when she was built in 2014. She had an engine upgrade to 2 x 500hp in 2017. Berthon sales in England had her on the books at $12 million a couple of years ago.
Steve, this is not the way to get this boat sold. This boats strong points are its speed, it's efficiency and its ability to safely get you through virtually any weather anywhere on earth. You don't sell a desert race car by pointing out the great interior. You sell a desert race car by saying "this baby can rip across the open desert at 120mph" You sell the extreme capabilities. Show the footage of this thig surfing a swell at 20 knots. Point out the range and the fact that it can do 12 to 14 knots while burning 1/2 the fuel most yachts burn at 9. Point out the wave piercing design and extreme weather capabilities, in the odd event where you can't outrun the bad weather. This yacht's astonishing capabilities are what will get her sold.
Catamarans aren't really suitable for this type of boat. This vessal can theoretically anyway self right (Cats can't) and is much stronger than a Cat could ever be. Additionally Catamarans are not suitable for high latitudes due to their enormous surface radiating area that makes them very difficult to heat. If you want the Bahamas or the South Pacific then Cats are great with many advantages but for the arctic...not so much. I love Cats and 6 years ago crewed on a fast Cat 54ft (sailboat) from South Padre to Ft Lauderdale at an average of 14 knots and had the time of my life. Now I live in the Pacific Northwest and you see very few Cat Yachts up here.
