The same with SOS, he pronounced a few words wrong in the Singer version but performances both before and after have been pronounced absolutely correct.

Samaltau is awesome too, sings in native tongue, traditional song about young men who were forced to join Tsars army in WW1 and had to march hundreds of miles to war, leaving their ageing parents and families behind, so moving! I imagine many young people in certain regions can relate to this song today

I am sorry for your loss. When I'm going through stuff I always listen to music, it helps me express what I'm feeling or struggling to express. If you need a proper cry (I usually do) pop on "Ave Maria" or "Love Is Like a Dream" and just listen to it on repeat until the ugly crying is out. ❤ Regarding the performance, this was a bit of a tough week for him. It was the farthest back in the lineup he had sung so far at #5 (previously #1 and #4) so more time for nerves to build up. Additionally his singer-partner had flight delays and missed the taping! His dad was still with him but I'm sure it threw him off a little. Finally, the very first singer of the night sang in flawless English, followed by two additional solid performances by most of the female competitors, and then he was followed by another flawless English performance. At this time his English was pretty much limited to "I'm Dimash, nice to meet you", "welcome to Kazakhstan", and "thank you very much!" During the announcement of the placement results at the end of the night he expressed that it did not matter if he placed well, he still did not feel that his performance was good enough. Personally, despite the language barrier, I loved his take on this song and I think he performed it beautifully but I also appreciate how he is always looking to improve himself as an artist and learn from others around him. So sorry for your loss. I hope your family only remembers all the good times. Dimash is a musical genius. Not only for his vocals but how a song should be arranged for him. This was the first song he sang in English. Before the show, He only spoke in his native tongue, Kazak, and Russian. His first four songs were in French, Russian, English, and Mandarin. Later in the show, his English improved greatly when he sang All By Myself and Adagio.

Could you react to "one sky" , live version (almaty) ? Its something very special about that song. Not only because of Dimash putting his heart and soul in it , but also the vocal fryes at the end . Even all the drones flying around his head ,are adding to the very special song. And ,the message in the song... Its all worth a listen,i promise. And yes ,i know all the suggestions on the songs where Dimash is "wow'ing" us all, but the song mentioned... Its kind of a bit extra ,even for Dimash. Thank you so much, the light is in my ceiling and fixed unfortunately, I am working on getting a ring light and changing the fixtures around so its less intruding but will cost a lil bit to change so it will happen just might not be straight away :)
