That's unfortunately the truth, they're trying to live by and make money to make ends meet but so many people see them as inferior and even deserving of bad treatment, society's opinion on sex workers is what has made them such vulnerable victims. They're seen as unwanted people so when a prostitute goes missing it may not even be properly looked into, and if foul play was involved that means that sex workers are less likely to have justice, less likely to be saved, and so on. If you look into it you can find dozens of stories from sex workers telling about how a customer beat them near death on google in just a few seconds, they're seen as *things* that can be used in any way one wants instead of as human beings who have their own feelings and wants. Spread the awareness and try to help if you can. You see a prostitute about to leave with someone you know isn't trustworthy: go and warn them

Things like profession which may not even be freely chosen are "justifiable reasons" to treat others like shit in some people's eyes, you see this in customer service

I wish certain mechanics were added too... like shooting an enemies legs would make them tumble and not be able to get back up, shooting hands so they become virtually useless in gun fights, being able to feed people to the alligators,bears etc. I tried to do these but they never worked properly. Also have more customization options like giving us option to save more than just 5 outfits...
@@Darkknight9035 rdr1 had then say of shooting their hands. On this one it's difficult as I tried it. Shooting their hips in the first one caused em to crawl and die slowly. Multiple costumes was available I hears but it was bugged

The sheriff who arrested you might be a common bug when programming interactions. As there were two sheriffs stacked upon eachother, they must be phased, which means one is in the same phase as you, so you can interact with him, and the other one you can't interact with but is affected by your presence while you can't interact with him. So you told one sheriff you helped him while you were just standing there saying nothing to the other one, that might be why he felt disturbed.
What the hell is going on in that sheriff's office? Sitting on the other's lap?! Back then, that was considered a crime against nature. They should've arrested themselves instead of you.

I helped her dispose the body the first time and she ended up doin the same thing again. I was having none of it so i declined and ended up fighting her on the stairway in the middle of the saloon. That hunter guy with the raccoon hat showed up and everything turned into a shit show with the law shootin the place up over 'disturbing the peace'.
Damn this game is so in depth that you can just go to the sheriff and report the crime with the lady hogtied. No markers or missions or anything. Just you and actual ingenuity.

I recall people also saying you can bring a random encounter to the town doctor to save his life. There's also the escaped convict who askes you to shoot his chains off, you can grab him and take him to the law.

Yes, when npcs freak out stay still until you see the sheriff then they will give you the opportunity to surrender peacefully. This can't happen if you are in the midst of shooting the town. XD
