Thanks so much, my wife is pregnant and about to give birth. My car all of a sudden decided not to start and this was the fix. You are a life saver, God bless!
This 3:00 minute video helped me soo much. I looked at a couple diagrams afterward to make sure I knew what to mess with and it worked! Now I just have to figure put how to stop the alarm from sounding off. I'm one step closer to having my car back. THANKS!
I love you man. Wife called from a parking lot about 6 miles away - eff'in thing wouldn't start - Mitsubishi Montero Sport - hate the truck in the 1st place. Left the POS (there are other problems...) sitting overnight since it wouldn't start (put a new battery in the previous day...). Your fix got this thing running again - made my "fix" permanent. Next step: get rid of this thing...
Hey man ..... I want to say THANK YOU !! I was having this very trouble with my 92 Crown Vic . I took the panel off under the dash and that relay was sitting right there. I found the wire they spliced into and reconnected it and the car started first hit. YOU ARE THE MAN !!! HAHAHA
Dude you save me! I pulled the negitive cable from the battery to check the tps. tHIS RESET AN OLD ALARM on my 95 4runner v6. I was stuck. I heard the clicking. I first believed it was a signal from the car computer but, I had no engine light. I used your tip. I am back on the road! Great vid.
Lifesaver man. My car sat up for exactly a yr and a half and the alarm went off until the battery drained all the way. Went back to start my car it wouldn't start not even with the remote start. Bypassed it with the wire and it work. Thanks bro
Great video! I have a real problem with an old 530i BMW 1994 and its remote starter. Half the time the car wont start, but this little trick is saving the day. I haven't quite got it off line yet but at least with this reroute on the relay I can consistently start the car now! Thanks for the tip!
This video saved my bacon this morning when my alarm box quit and wouldn’t send the signal to the relay to start the car. Lucky I had tools and a wire nut to get me home. Many thanks!!!
GREAT VIDEO The jumper wire connecting the two larger wires worked for me in getting my Subaru started. My emergency lights still flash, but I can now work that out. Thanks
Thanks for this video. In my case, it seems it was something was the aftermarket alarm system that was preventing it from starting. Or it could have been the connections behind the steering wheel... I'm not sure, but I tried tightening some random connections and it's starting now.
OMG THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO! i was stuck around the block from home because of the alarm shutting off the starter and i watched this vid, cut some thick speaker wire and installed in the same pins you said and WALA! IT STARTED! THANKS AGAIN 2 THUMBS UP!!!
Thank you so many times over for this video. After weeks of my Camry being dead, rebuilding the starter, checking the neutral safety switch, trying a new starter relay, and weeks of confusion as to why the car was not starting we noticed the quietest car alarm in the world was going off. Shoved a wire into the place you were talking about, turned the key, and the car fired right up. Thank you for the great video, it was so helpful and probably saved us hundreds of dollars.
Really helpful! Lost my keyless entry remote and starter kill switch wont let me start my car and by directing the starter switch and the key wire made it start as if I operated it with my remote.
I have to relay switches connected together for the keyless entry. What number wires do I connect. my car wont start. Thank you very much for your help
There is a fuse under the hood, I have a 1999 Chevy suburban 1/2 ton 5.7 liter, it's a 50 amp marked IGN. Pull this and you're vehicle will start, unfortunately power windows, heater, air conditioning, radio, ect. All quit working. Lights, blinkers and tail lights will still work. This guys video is the best fix I've seen so far without costing a ton of money and works great. I didn't pull apart my dash, I just looked up under and pulled this cluster down.
Just wanted say thanks, this video saved me one heck of a headache and money. I had bought a new starter, battery, and a main relay before watching this video and I almost bought a distributor, car started but i still have the problem of the trunk constantly opening if i leave the wire installed and attached to the relays thick wires, did i maybe connected the wrong way ?
hopefully your still answering, I have a 06 Caravan just replaced the starter in and now my vehicle has power but will not disengage the anti theft will this do the trick? everyone else is saying replace a very expensive PCM board.
My ‘90 Corolla has an alarm system by a company called “Mirage”, and it’s preventing my car from even cranking right now. I’ll have to try this later, thanks
I have been having this problem for years. No one can fix it. Even brought to the alarm store where I bought it, they say nothing is wrong. I have looked for that module under my dash but can't find it. Wish I lived near u. I just spent the last 3 hours stuck at work trying to start car. Finally it started.
My skyline R33 was parked up for 4 years could not get my car stated because of the alarm CANT thank you enough bro 👏 done exactly what you showed my car started first turn of the key 🫵👍have a drink on me 🍺🍺😎😎🌹🌹
will that relay that you connected the wire too, make the car not have spark and cause the motor not to turn on? or does this just kill the starter from turning?
I did the exact thing you did on this video. My 2003 gmc sonoma started up. Only problem the clicking alarm sound stays on. How can i bypass that problem?
Thanks for the video! I have a quick question though. Is it possible to disarm the audio portion of a car alarm while keeping intact whichever mechanism allows for the front lights to continue flashing?
Go under your hood, find your horns(should be 2 of them), and unplug them. Im dealing with this issue as well and had the neighbors call the cops on me because of the noise. If you unplug the horns then only the lights will flash when the alarm goes off.
Thanks for the video! I had a question though...I have a 2005 F150, the kill switch was somehow tripped by itself. It was parked in my garage all night. The night before, I locked the car and when I came back in the AM, unlocked it, and got in, no issues, went to start, then all lights got killed, keyfob won't respond, no dome lights, won't turn over, nothing. I hear a buzzing noise corresponding to the alarm led flashing on the dash. I knew it wasn't the battery, because it's new, so I mess with it for a few minutes and decide to just disconnect and reconnect the negative terminal and that fixed it. Is my kill switch going bad? Is something else going on? Can I just replace the whole shebang with an aftermarket alarm (mine is factory) and be good to go? Please help, I don't want to be stranded somewhere when I least expect it. Thanks in advance!
I'm having a problem with my 5901 viper alarm it works good for a couple of days and then the remote stops working and I have to re-pair it the alarm.. it seems like the alarm resets and deletes everything because my remote start stops working it goes in to manual transmission mode so I have to reprogram that too.. it's on a 1997 tahoe
how do u get alarm kill switch relay to activate when alarm is disconnected so it wouldn't have power. is there wire i can splice into so kill switch can activate if someone trys to disconnect the wire plug into alarm box. any help would b highly appreciated thanks
I have a valet switch, but it is not in anything, it is currently in my hand.. how would one install a valet switch to over ride the starter kill with Silencer security system on 99' nissan pathfinder
I know this is a very late comment lol but I recently bought a 2014 mustang and it has a failsafe 103t. It’s discontinued and i just wanna take this thing off so stupid. I don’t know the previous owner bought it from a small dealership...
i have 99 range rover that someone installed an auto page alarm. i found relay but all 4 wires are same gauge. would it do harm to just randomly try connecting wires? truck wont crank and im out in the country. thanks.
I have a 2003 Silverado I have a negative output out of my ignition coil could this be my problem if my viper alarm was taped into my ignition switch using a relay
If I took out the alarm completely and took out the relay and reconnected my wires back to factory... can that still affect my starting ability? My truck ran fine before I took it out and rewired it. Now it won't pump fuel. It starts with fuel in the carb. But My pump or my injectors are not getting power. Wanna eliminate wiring as an issue before dropping my fuel tank to change the pump.
You sir just saved my life! I had to leave my car at my job becuase the alarm wouldn't stop and with this advice I was able to turn my car on and take my car to a shop to get the alarm removed thanks again man!
i have a 1998 dodge grand caravan 3.8.i used the key to open doors because my alarm remote control dose not work.now my car won't start the lights are dim and the lock go crazy.panel works lights flicker when car is running.also have to jump start.i think the silent alarm drained the battery but not sure.iod fuse is not blown need any kind of help.and a weird noise comes from under the dash when key is in on position.and door chime dounds distorted.can this be factory anti theft system.
amazing, I never knew a bad alarm can kill the car engine. my after market alarm won't let me start the car. took it to the dealership yesterday, they told me they have to reprogram or reset and are waiting for a 'part' this was yesterday. called today, still waiting. I already had car towed to the dealership yesterday thinking it was going to be an easy fix(that's what they had told me). should I just pay some one to remove the whole entire alarm system or is just try and fix it?
I install a remote start and alarm sistem in my 92 camry v6 but when I start the car with the remote starts but after 10 or 15 seconds shut off the car can u help me to see wat is the problem?
Thank you Thank you Thank you worked perfect the only thing I would add is to disconnect the battery and to remove the inline fuse to the alarm thank you, I was stranded with my son and was able to get home because of your video.
im having an issue with an autopage alarm system in my car, is it possible that the alarm system would let my car crank but not give spark to the distributor?
I have a remote stater in my car so last time that I try to start the car my remote wont work so I have to disconect the wiring harness from the box where is all the conections is the only way my car start but if I put them back together the car wont worck and the alarm goes off thank you
Im having ignition problems on my 98 GMC sierra. Im thinking of doing this because my alarm keeps going on after or during my time trying to start it. I hope it starts my truck up. Any info about helping me, please share.
If you do the starter circuit wouldn't be connected any more, You'd be worse off if you did that, you need to put the starter wire back together, not disconnect it.
Thanks, that was very informative! My brother's car he just bought has an aftermarket alarm system and it's been giving him trouble every few times he goes to start the car. Gonna go look for that stupid relay and bypass it tonight. :) Hopefully that'll be the end of his problems.
on my 98 vw jetta k2 my aftermarket system code alarm installed by the local quality auto sound was acting up only about 6 months to a year after. All they say is we can check out the electrical but it may cost. I believe they didn't wire it properly or a repay was bad or no relay I have to fine it. I think the car rejected it or open ground due to faulty alarm going off all the time at random. I ended up pulling the alarm itself but I'd like to connect up the stock alarm again if possible.
I bought my van a few months ago and when reinstalling the doghouse after installing some new engine components, I accidentally hit some sort of switch hidden under the dashboard. Now when I try to start my van, I hear a click, and the doors lock and quickly unlock. I looked around under the dash and sure enough, there is an aftermarket alarm system installed. (DEI model 425) I had no idea this was even in there as no fob came with the van. I searched online and got the instruction PDF for this aftermarket system which has lots of info, except how to disarm the No Crank option. I found a key fob on ebay for this system but I will have to program it to work and the PDF says I will need the code the original installer used to do that. It actually has 2 little hidden push buttons, one with an led and the other one is black. I also found a pair of wires hanging down under the dash running from one of the two alarm system Black boxes that have 12 volts hot between them all the time. I am going to try your trick to see if I can get my van started as the manual says to reset the system, the engine must be running. I may just rip everything out once I get it running again and I will watch your video on how to do that. So, thank you for making this video.
Have a 98 Legacy Outback and when I put a new battery in last night it activated an alarm I never knew the car had. I had seen the horn under the hood but assumed it was disconnected seeing I never had an alarm light or ignition problem until now. If I follow this video it will fix my car not turning over issue? I want to make this permanent though. Whats the best way to make it permanent?

I need to remove the smart chip because there's only one key in my possession and I'm getting the actual key fob soon. 00 vw jetta. Stock alarm works fine can I add immobilizer shock sensor glass break sensors?? To stock.
Hey man thx. I'm a computer guy but no nothing about cars. My viper alarm has been working and not working starting the car. If i cut it on and off a ton of times it might go. Sound like an issue with the alarm? Been doing this for years but rarely. Today its worse.
How can I tell if this is the problem? My car wont start and I see a few wires cut it has two relays idk why ? Can you help me out maybe go three some trouble shooting steps please?
