Question is, why put an all-wheel drive Golf against a bunch of FWD/RWD cars ? They could have taken the GTI at the very least... Or the new Scirocco.. Maybe they would have lost too, but that would have made a better challenge in my opinion.
okay you got the point, the R32 is slower because it has a awd that makes it more heavier, but you give a nice turbo to R32 and it will kick ass to any car... btw. RX8 has rotary wankel engine that was made by a german, mazda bought in the '70 the license to produce the engine... second the GTR is a great car, but never was faster then GT3 RS... and if i remember the new ZR1 was faster 6 seconds on Nurburgring against GTR Black Edition... cheers
Alfa driver it´s possible the worst driver in this comparative... I can´t explain that I see in the video. In the other cars pilots go to full throttle and max revs. So not valid this comparative XD
5 years later but : The Alfa sucks when it's stock. You can't go full throttle because it hasn't any differential. That's why everyone mods it with a Q2.
@@Irandal I referee the driving style was some poor form. So I don't think this Alfa's needs q2 or they are undriveable, obviously it's better to have on it for better traction, but its not very poor traction at all at least on dry road. But overall the pilot drives it without any agressive and slow change gears, don't put the engine at max revs, etc... Anyways, it's not a bad result at all but I think 47 could be better here

I have an 147 GTA and be sure the s2000,rx8, and the golf are far behind...i can also make a video with all this cars and a fiat 500 1.2cc and beat them!! If they don't like good cars don't drive them......ALFA ROMEO FOR EVER!!!!
The alfa has too much power for it's chassis and fwd layout, it cannot put it's power down. Plus it is a fat whale. The r32 also suffers from fat whale problems and a flat engine response. The drivers are also world class drivers, if you payed attention to the engine noise you would hear that they are revving to the red line (wich shows how much you know about cars) The mkIV r32 and gta are just not made to be tracked, they are much heavier than their competitors which justifies the result.
AHAHA it's funny how you know nothing about cars. The maximum torque of the R32 is at 2800rpm, and max power at 6200, it's completely useless to shift at 7000..On the one hand you've got two 6 cylinders, on the other, three high rev engines. The Golf is just too heavy to fight, while the Alfa, without LSD can not deliver power to the ground (check the TopGear review, the GTA is a shame of understeer). Not enough space to talk about weight repartition,but don't cry, euro cars are not the best.

hahaha i don't know nothing about cars? man i know R32 better then you know all cars around the world... btw. about personal opinions you can't discuss... you like japanese cars, i like german cars. but one thing i can tell you, first car was made in Germany, first technology was made in Germany, during II World War, japanese got German cars, trucks etc. today japanese cars are simbol of cheap cars with some quality, i'll stick to german cars, quality, luxury, speed, interior, exterior... cheers
