I'm solo car camping in my minivan in the middle of the woods during a heavy rain storm! I was off grid van camping also know as boondocking. I absolutely love sleeping and camping in the rain. Rain was fairly heavy most of the night. Defiantly doing more car camping in the woods soon.

I just love these videos. Believe it or not you have a lot of very interesting content. There is a peace and calmness just watching you and looking at the lights in the Van. This is a throwback to last November before Thanksgiving, so hope that gives context to the decorating and snack choices. Also No I don’t eat tons of snacks all the time to those that comment that’s not healthy 😂 I know what’s healthy and what’s not, but sometimes you gotta enjoy yourself and let lose for a night. When my daughter was growing up, I told her it was ok if she ate junk food as long as she ate healthy food as well. Her two favorite things to eat are raw vegetables with dip, and salad. She eats a minimal amount of “ junk” food or snacks, but at least she eats healthy too!! By the way, I love the fact that you take the time to set the mood in your van. The candle, lighting, coffee, etc. it seems like a lot of work for one night, but you still manage to do it. I admire that about you!! You do what feels right for you and what makes you happy!!

No potty, I generally pee in a bottle and just dump it out the window at night. Do my number 2 before I head into the woods lol. They do have some portable toilets

You need to buy those rain visors that go over top your windows, so you can crack them open in the rain.

You could put some rain guards on your car windows as easy to apply and fairly priced on Amazon so that way your windows can be open a inch or two with sound of rain but not getting your stuff inside your car wet :) 👍🏻🌳🌲🌳🌲

I’m not sure if that’s a jet boil model but I would rather use my Coleman stove. It looks like to me those kinda stoves r not very stable just my opinion. I’m not trying to start a stove debate.

It’s definitely not the best stove for a bigger pan. I use my Iwatani butane stove for cooking like that now.

Hi Matt, I love watching your videos. You must be a romantic kind of guy. I love the candles and the lights, it just adds a little extra to the van. I would have no problem sleeping in the van, listening to the rain. I remember when I was much younger, I enjoyed my life. You only go through life once, it doesn’t hurt to have a few snacks and enjoy your life. I’m 75 now and I can tell your one of the good guys. I can’t wait for the next video. I really enjoy watching your videos. I like how you use the candle and the lights . It looks so cozy and relaxing. Nothing like being out in the woods chillin and listening to the rain.You are going to sleep good tonight . And that food looks good. I agree on the snacks. I eat pretty healthy but like you said . Very festive in your minivan. You seem a little nervous out there in the woods alone and I don't blame you. You should get yourself a dog for company and protection. My Beagle was a great warning system and amazingly protective.

Yeah the feeling of stepping out of your vehicle into a super dark rainy forest with nobody around for miles when by yourself is crazy. I do have a German Shepard, I keep him at home to protect the wife though

Man that cot is LIFE…. I went and got me a big OL Coleman deluxe cot off Amazon… it’s nice but it’s huge. I wish I came across this one you have before I bought that one. I love your lol van it’s super cozy I love the table setting and the candle. I actually got a really nice thick pad for on top of the cot now so it’s super comfy. I also have the extension legs so I can put stuff under it to save space in van. Thanks and God bless!

Yeah I wouldn’t recommend it to someone who just wants it for van camping. It’s one of the best you can get for backpack tent camping as it’s designed to be super light weight and strong. Van camping weight isn’t really an issue so there are better options for cheaper

It has been pouring here non-stop for the past couple hours but that is a good thing because a block and a half down from me a house caught fire and totally went up in flames this evening sadly. I think the rain helped finally extinguish it cuz I mean the whole house was in flames. It looks like Christmas in your van right now LOL just started watching.

I bought a long strand of White Christmas lights and I have a birdcage that has a plant inside hanging down out of it and I wrapped lights all around it and over my two windows behind the couch and when I'm in the mood for that atmosphere I turn them on at night. I absolutely love it too and candles. Great video by the way. ‼️☺️❤️
