Part 9 of our Cheap DIY Car Camping video series. We've been looking forward to showing you our completely upgraded DIY tarp system that we ordered by telephone from the Australian company Croc Skins. After searching around at camping and hardware stores we realised that the quality of regular car camping tarpaulins is quite poor. This new tarp we have is very strong and heavily reinforced at all the eyelet points. The only downside with the new tarp is it's about double the weight of our old tarp. This is not an ultra-light backpacking tarp so this additional weight is only restrictive when erecting and dismantling the setup :-)
We talk a bit about the yabby species Cherax Destructor (Common Yabby). These yabbies are considered invasive in many parts of Victoria so there are very few restrictions on fishing them.
