I read somewhere on Dr. Grande’s video on RU-vid where one comment stated that she actually assaulted another girl that left that person brain damaged. Apparently, she got away from the assault. Yet her parents support her level of abuse and assault. The person who commented on Dr. Grande stated she was in the same town as the murder. Wouldn’t surprise me!

There was a case years ago where a girl decided to commit suicide by driving into oncoming traffic. The judge asked her in her hearing how did she know which person coming towards her also wanted to die. The look on her face was priceless.
Another case was Justine Winter, who was 16/17 at time of accident, attempted suicide by driving into oncoming traffic. She did this because her and her boyfriend broke up. She survived suffering only minor injuries but the people she hit were not as fortunate. Justine Winter slammed into another vehicle when she crossed over into oncoming traffic killing a 4 month pregnant woman and her 13 year old son. She was convicted for double homicide. Not sure why she was not charged with fetal homicide. Anyway Justine Winter, backed by her father, filed a lawsuit against the other drivers estate and three highway construction companies blaming them for the accident. I remember being floored by this when it happened. I could Not believe the audacity of Justine, her father, and her attorneys. Justine literally was messaging and calling her boyfriend during the incident stating she was getting ready to commit suicide by wrecking her car. Just sick.
She was not nervous or anxious at first because she is used to getting away with everything. In her mind she's planning on what she will do once she is out of this.
She has likely gotten away with everything in her life up until now, hence the shock. The tears were for herself, not her deeds. She really felt she would get away with this.
How much is nature and how much is nurture? Plenty of people are spoiled brats but don’t murder people. I also wonder about her capacity to change. She was 17 at the time of the crime. Can she reform?
The prison is not here to reform a siner but to punish a siner So I guess that 15 years behind bars will not reform her but destroy her mind and soul 15 years is a very long time for a young and pretty party girl I'm from 🇩🇪 and in my country she would be out in 5-7 years
The hair touches, looking at her own feed on the zoom call, the way she adjusts her posture, popping her chin up, smirking, arching her shoulders back, followed by a light swing from side to side, and even the way she is blinking while wearing the blue shirt are all physical indications that she is essentially peacocking for attention. This was mingled apparent boredom with her head resting on her fists and a vacant expression void of any serious emotion. My opinion is that she thought she was getting off, and this was an easy opportunity for clout. I wouldn’t be surprised if she was mentally preparing for her career as an influencer of some sort throughout the trial. She has a constant expression that suggests that she was giving the court the faintest bit of her attention, while her mind was on her own appearance and image throughout the trial.
The holding eyebrows high is a sign of guilt, my understanding. She’s unlikely for me from jump. She’s pulling a lot of faces and sure seems to have an attitude.

I just read a post from a girl who knew her from school. She said this girl was a big narcissist. She said she was the ultimate mean girl. She also said she made a social media account just to make fun of a lunch lady at school she said she was vicious. She also said she ran for home coming queen and lost and she blamed the student body for not appreciating he uniqueness and said she is still the queen she always was regardless. The girl said she did lots of drugs too and she knew she was gonna end up in trouble for that or her reckless behavior but she never thought it would be murder. As a woman who has had to escape a venerable narcissistic relationship, I can tell you they will and do kill people. Especially if they think you are gonna leave them. It is a control thing. If they feel they are losing control they will do what ever it takes to feel in control again. That often includes killing you and they will do it for something as small as not wanting to get caught in a lie. Often times your first clue you may be in danger is threatening to kill themselves. No narc is gonna take themselves out and leave you to go on with your happy life without them. If they do take themselves out you can bet they are gonna take you out first and all to often they take you out, feel that sense of control coming back and no longer desire to unalive themselves. They also tend to get away with it placing the blame on the victim and playing the victim themselves. People just believe them. I think all her behavior before the verdict was her doing what she knows how to do to get out of trouble. Playing coy, pretty and innocent looking. That video in court when she was wearing blue and was shaking her shoulders with the slight smirk. That was her flirting trying to look pretty and innocent. She is not old enough to be a highly skilled narc like my ex. But she will be. She is gonna adapt easily and learn new skills in prison and I bet she will get a reduced sentence or a mistrial or something on appeal and she will be out before we know it.

I agree with everything you said, except that I don't think she will manage to get a reduced sentence on appeal. She needs to stay locked up. Be interesting to see how she fairs in prison. She seems like the type to cause lots of trouble and have various lesbian romantic relationships. It doesn't matter to these types that much that it's not a man ;even though they may be straight it is the attention that drives them and if there are only women available then they will obtain that attention from whichever source is available.
I was charged with some pretty tough drug charges years ago. Even while i sat in jail on pretrial it was difficult to wrap my head around the gravity of the situation. Even though i knew i could face up to 15 years i never really thought i would do much time. Then i was sentenced to 7 years and the reality was sickening. Just a different perspective. I have almost 10 years sober now ❤
I can relate I ended up with felony charges it didn’t hit me until much later after getting finished with probation etc.. one day it felt like everything just crashed down but during the time of court & charges I had a million thoughts in my head. Given I didn’t kill anyone but did get a felony DWI I think I was in complete shock and was trying to just get through and tried to hold it together until one day I couldn’t.
I think it's different because you were the primary one affected. When other people are killed, I would expect some guilt. I got a DUI years ago before I was sober... I rear ended someone... they got whiplash but I could have killed them... That was 8 years ago. I felt so much shame at my hearing/sentencing and it was obvious to everyone and I still feel that shame on a daily basis.

She strikes me as a young woman who has gotten away with so many things in the past that she honestly thinks she will get away with this also and that's why she's so calm. To her, it's no big deal. I say that because of how surprised she was when she was found guilty and when she heard her sentence. I think she genuinely thought maybe a year or two in Juvie and she'd be out and about again and when she heard the actual sentence she was absolutely amazed.
Her mother seemed even more surprised in the background! The father looked like he could care less one way or the other most likely glad that she will no longer bully him !
Yeah, I guess since she was 17 she expected to be out when she turned 18 and possibly her own attorneys told her as a juvie they will take it easy on her. When you are 17 you are a grown up just as much as an 18 year old and should PAY for your crimes like any other adult. She deserves life in jail without possibility of parole for her inexcusable murder of two human beings. There is NO excuse even if her boyfriend was volatile and fought with her often, she had other means of addressing the issues without resorting to murder and without killing the innocent "friend" also in the car.
At first, she's trying to act all cutesy and innocent, thinking she'll get another pass. When she realizes that her act did not fly, she's shocked that for perhaps the first time, she is being held accountable.
The fact that she was not crying throughout this whole process, but instead she was calm, the smirk, the spinning in her swivel chair....it seems to me that her real tears are for herself, not the two young men she murdered by her psychotic, childish, reckless tantrum behind the wheel. Do the kids these days truly understand death? I feel like everything to them, the technology, the games, the fake filters....it all makes life feel like a video game. Eh, teenagers have always felt immortal and been impulsive, that’s nothing new. Part of growing up. I think this girl is BPD or something, was upset over something, and wanted to murder/suicide, but she was only 2/3 successful.
I just watched a police video where they went to Dominic’s mom to inform her of his death. She cried and screamed, normal reaction. She didn’t know the situation and assumed it was an accident. She even asked if Mackenzie was okay in the hospital.
Doms mom is a decent person who even showed sympathy toward tge person responsible for her son's death. I realize she didn't know it was intentional at the time but many people probably would have a hard time feeling sympathy in that situation regardless of intention or not
I agree, I don’t think she thought she would go to prison. Her facial expressions are night and day from when she’s in court in that blue shirt compared to when she’s getting sentenced. In the scene in court with blue shirt, she was definitely smiling/smirking and swinging in the chair as if she’s calmly/casually just playing around for the court like she’s enjoying the attention. Before the interview started when she was in detention she groomed herself, she was thrilled be on camera and to be getting attention. She is proud of her evildoings. When the verdict came in she played victim, only concerned for herself, zero remorse and obvious fear of the truth that she did. Criminology student here. I find her to be very immature (of course), but in a way that goes beyond her physical age. It is like there is a marble missing and I mean that in a way that it seems there is hole somewhere where self-reflection (relative to age), a genuine care for others beyond herself, and ability to understand the gravity. A little girl who is/was a very toxic narcissist in the making. Her state of mind/personality seems situational and not organic in nature. Thank you for covering this!
In the first video I got the impression that she wasn't taking it seriously and her only care was to look nice for the camera, like she was in a boring class. Maybe she really thought she was walking out free.

I saw her social media posts and she was certainly a brat to say the least. The stuff she was posting at 17 years old was a little much. To act like she is 25 only because she literally has the mentality of a 12 year old 🤦🏼♀️.
I think she expected them to all die or all live and “be fine”,… that kind of mentality. As if it were up to another force to decide the outcome and one sure did in the courtroom. I just think she expected any consequences to end at the accident. Out of the hospital she went partying for a Halloween posting away on social media. I quote one clip of her saying: I’m just the kind of girl that can do a lot of drugs and not die”. She said this. It is said she posted that during this past Halloween after the crash. I didn’t see an actual date for it myself tho. There’s just so much. Zero remorse. Almost sick in a way she liked the attention.

Her entitlement showed until her sentencing. She could not believe she would face the consequences of her actions. So smug. After the sentencing, her parents yelled at her, "We know you're innocent," as she was being led away. They're in denial.
I saw the video on RU-vid Dominique‘s mom being told that her son was killed and I balled my eyes out. It was the saddest thing I’ve ever seen this girl deserves to spend the rest of her life in prison and the mom of Dominique ever sees I cannot imagine, and you are in my prayers every day.R.I.P.

That brick wall is a perfect symbol for the hard reality she's clearly never faced in her life until now. That explains her shocked reaction at her guilty verdict - she hit another brick wall there. I have no doubt that when she decided to crash into the first brick wall, she didn't think she'd be killed, only her passengers. And she was right, once again proving to herself that she deserved to be excused from all consequences of her actions - a belief no doubt introduced to her by her permissive parents in early childhood, then reinforced by many others who she chose for their permissiveness and/or who responded to her apathy with their own apathy. But she didn't really survive that first crash, because it led directly to a second crash that put her in a grave called the correctional system, a place as cold as death and as hard as a brick wall.
I disagree that you think she'd survive.....that's speculation on your part. Vehicular manslaughter w/ all the following consequences, but not deliberately hitting the wall....too much speculation about that (remember the key stakeholders / lawyers / judge, / etc. said "we'll never really know what actually transpired" (or words to that effect.) Since I'm reading a book on the Titanic right now, I can't help comparing that brick wall to the iceberg that sunk the Titanic. It was, in fact, not the iceberg out on the ocean, but the iceberg of complacency inside of so many people behind the tragedy - the Captain, the designer (who also drowned that night), the shipbuilders, the first class passengers...everyone who was frozen in their certainty that nothing could sink the Titanic - not even the ocean itself. And like with the Titanic, we shouldn't leave out a whole aspect of our society that is heading for a collective brick wall with so many of us acting like righteous victims these days. I include myself in that, although I'm aware of it and I keep it on a tight leash. What's so dangerous and scary is the number of people nowadays who don't seem to have a leash at all.
My impression is that she is accustomed to being able to talk her way out of trouble. She is very pretty, at one point she was so sweetly answering "yes" to the judge. I think she believed she could charm the judge and ended up shocked that didn't happen. It's interesting for me to hear Dr G take on things, shows me how ignorant I probably am on psychology. I have viewed 5 videos recently all involving young women between 17 and 22 who have gotten drunk or stoned and been involved in major car accidents. In one case a young woman who looked a lot lke Mackenzie drove extremely drunk, hit two pedestrians out walking their dog, police eventually caught up to her, she said she had no idea she had hit two people let alone killed them. She blew it off like "oh well it was an accident." Her question to police was well -"" can I go back to my college classes"" the next day. At the police station she asked again when could she get her car and go back to school. There was absolutely no remorse or concern about the deceased. She seemed more interested in flirting with cops then bring truly concerned about what she had done. Four other incidents had young women highly intoxicated, very beligerent, abusive towards LE, two of them bitting, spitting, kicking. Another claimed her uncle was high up in police and they would regret putting her in jail. Every one of them had a bratty entitled attitude, most were driving high end cars, not one showed real remorse. I think the TikTok generation is soulless, narcissistic, and only interested in geting attention and being famous - killing someone while driving appears the least of their worries.
She was displaying coyness and was nonchalant during the trial. We clearly see the difference in the forehead and facial expressions, when it came to *her fate* imo, she didn't possess the capability or tenderness within her, to consider the all encompassing gravity of the impact which her actions inflicted upon all who are harmed by her choice that fateful day. That is mind blowing to me

I'm over 70 now, but I have a clear memory of being 16 and driving like a maniac after some kind of rejection from a "potential" girlfriend. I ended up wrecking my dad's car and spending the night in jail. I was lucky - I was alone in the car and nobody was hurt. What I remember most vividly is the mad swirl of emotions and thoughts in my head. In retrospect, I was totally out of control and not-sane at the time. There was no way I was thinking about consequences of any sort - I was thinking AT MOST one second ahead. Having (much later) become the father of two boys, I have seen that teenage brains are often unable to process causality or consequence in any rational way, especially when drugs or alcohol or hormones may be in play. We did our best to instill values into our children and to encourage them to think about their actions ahead of time, but it is often more good luck than good parenting that permits our children to become decent adults. Our family is lucky - our boys turned out fine. I'm not saying that she didn't plan to kill her boyfriend, nor am I saying that the verdict or sentence was incorrect or unfair. I wasn't at the trial, and didn't see the evidence. What I AM saying is that young brains often make really stupid decisions, and at the very least she and her family deserve our pity as much as the victims' families do.
Very well said and I’m in agreement with you as I too recall having a handful of driving incidents that were totally related as I was not thinking. These events were by myself and no one was hurt but I look back and thank God that I lived through it and learned my lessons by myself. Now at 52, it pains me to see young people get punished as if they’re adults with fully developed brains, maturity and life skills to deal with problems rationally and logically. God bless 🛐✌️
I totally agree. At that age I thought I couldn't live without my boyfriend. I felt so hurt and rejected when he left me. I impulsively made attempts to win him back, but thank God, nothing destructive. Two decades later I met up with him - just as old friends - and couldn't imagine what I had seen in him as a teenager. In addition, he turned out to be gay which was why he "rejected" me back then. I had to laugh at myself thinking back to how madly in love I was with him years earlier. 😂 The problem is that narcissistic young people have tunnel vision and can't imagine that things will look differently in hindsight years later.

True. That's why children shouldn't be charged or penalized as adults. Just like the government doesn't allow them the responsibility to drink alcohol or smoke, they shouldn't think theyre responsible enough or mature enough to be held 100% accountable for their actions, it's a double-standarrd. Hypocrisy. The parents of the child introuble should be held responsible for their behavior, not the children. Then maybe parents would BE more responsible for them and do right by them knowing thee're consecquences. At the first sighn of trouble, there should be some intervention, some parent counseling. Reduced sentences and community services depending on the crime but don't let anyone off the hook if they are an older teen. G I was struck by Mackenzie’s shock when the judge said ‘guilty of murder’, as if it she had thought it impossible that she could actually be convicted (edit: for murder instead of for reckless driving). To me this underlined that she considers herself entitled to crash a car and kill two people in the process when she's angry.
Thanks to alex: I am thinking contrarian too; Obviously guilty of murder, but not at the level she's accused of.....I would say vehicular manslaughter; I find it speculative that his equation to love bound to death (R. Wagner's theme in Tristan Und Isolde) is just that...speculation. The computer read showed that before impact, the wheels veered suddenly right and then left...to me (as the defense stated) that could indicate a drug induced joyride that went out of control. I can't believe it's deliberate since, if so, she'd be killing herself, too; and I find that implausible. I feel for this kid as well as for the other victims, and I'll tell you why....when I was that same age I got drunk one night and drove home.....only by the grace of God I wasn't stopped by the police, and didn't injure anyone. I didn't plan to get drunk.....it worked out that way (youthful peer pressure of a normally ordinary kid.) So I am feeling how painful it must be for her to have to face this...call it "empathy identification" perhaps. Anyway, Dr. G. is much more approachable than the other forensic psychologist on You Tube who also reviewed this case....that guy seemed like a soul less robot who himself had suppressed anger for this girl for the act, based on his own affect and speech expressions and patterns. I got the impression that deep down the other forensic psychologist guy was too viscerally pleased by the guilty verdict, under his veneer of automation......he could be a good example of A.I. Is he actually a human, himself ?
mh ht 2: Keeping the accelerator at 100 mph doesn't necessarily equate to deliberately aiming at the wall, unless the wall was directly in front of her on the road. Not sure right now, but didn't the car go out of control, veer, and then hit the wall to the side ?. I can't remember just now.
I know I’m the only person out there with this opinion, but…in the ‘smug smirk clip’ I don’t see an overconfident relaxed person but a childlike young adult who is avoiding eye contact, blinks her eyes constantly, wobbles nervously in her chair, and tenses her mouth and cheeks. In short: in the smirk clip Mackenzie’s posture reminded me of a high school student just before the exam results are announced. (I actually feel tension building up in my own shoulders when looking for too long at her looking aside at 4:02) Other than that: great analysis. Someone who kills two people by driving into a concrete wall and is genuinely shocked when found guilty of murder, has some...eh...unusual personality traits
I have to second the opinion that she is a spoiled narcissist entitled person who has probably never been held accountable by her parents (watching them reaffirmed that for me). Her arrogant side glances and slight eye roll when they were discussing a plea deal spoke volumes. Unfortunately she is just another in a long line of entitled narcissists who have taken other people's lives without regard.
I think Shirilla is a very spoiled young lady. She was wearing fuzzy Prada slippers at the time of the accident, not that that means too much. But I think she gets her own way, feels entitled and when her boyfriend disagrees with her or put's his foot down, her selfish indignation rears it's ugly head and in a childish way strikes back to get even or revenge. She is calm because she thought the Judge would give her a slap on the wrist and tell her, 'don't do that again'. But reality slapped her across the face. Good luck in prison Shirilla, you will need it.
She won't need luck cause that Immaturity she gonna grow very quickly in prison and ohio as one of the best woman's prisons in the states soo they'll put her with a mix of young and older people and she's gonna learn very quickly what respect looks like and what right in wrong means she's now 19 soo will see what of that 15 yrs before she can poarle with life sentence she will get the judge kinda made it very apparent that she was guilty even before aouncing the sentence sooo I can see that in ohio that being issue cause she was still Innocent before judge went on a Tyrant soo court of appeals will have alot to look at I think will be back her in couple months from now with different charges and jury trial.
I feel bad for her a bit like maybe her parents should have done a better job helping her become a responsible young woman. She really looked so scared and surprised like she was not taught about consequences imo.

I don't think her lawyer could do much when a judge who made decision that she was guilty of murder when she hit the wall sooo I think this judges mind was made up long before she came out the the guilty verdict. But I see a very successful appeal but I still think she will serve some time it won't be life but I see it being atleast 5 to 10 years or if the court of appleas agrees with the judge some how which I don't see then she will do her 15 years and will have to grow up quick! And learn how to be mature and understand from right to wrong! You learn very quickly in prison!
@ellejay7065 I don't think the Consequences are fair cause if you look around the USA DUI cases are out there and people are dieing even a newly Wed and they aren't charged with murder this DA tossed mud against a wall new this judge was easy to convince like to me murder case is more then just bunch of here say and driving around the area for 2 weeks she could have been driving in that are for months cctv don't save 2 years of recoding just accusing her of planning it is soo out bounds nobody knows what was going on in that car not the judge not the DA there is no Evidence of her planning to kill her bf yaa they had issues in the dating but what 17 year old doesn't! Kids and drama! Soo I think a charge like murder is really hard to proof and it wouldn't only take 4 days to make that decision.
She just got a concurrent sentence of 15yrs to life w/ timed served. That’s ridiculous. The judge went in on her during the trial then gave her the most lenient sentence possible after she took two lives and didn’t seem to care until it affected her. Just goes to show that our justice system is a complete joke. I can’t imagine how horrible the families of the victims felt hearing that light sentence.
Her parents were her biggest enablers! Her dad yelled "Your innocent!"after she was found guilty and somehow her mother was in disbelief when she was held responsible for taking two lives. That says alot about what made her into what she eventually became....a killer without accountability!💯

I agree that this is a very tragic case! I’m not sure if we’ll ever know what was going on in her 17 year old brain at the time that this happened, but I think it’s fair to assume that Mackenzie was unwell. Most people have a more rational thought process, which would prevent them from going to this extreme measure, regardless of the situation. However, I do think that part of it could have been just simple immaturity. We know that she did it because of problems with her boyfriend. And at that age, thinking of losing your first love could easily feel like you’re dying. Or an end all scenario. Most teens get through these years, as heartbreak is inevitable, but then there are always these rare cases you see where someone just snaps. I had just heard of this case today, and had been doing my own research trying to find more information on it. In turn, I discovered your channel, and enjoyed your take on this case, so I’m liking and subscribing. Thanks.:)
Totally agree. I’m trying to learn about this case as well. It seems extremely harsh to charge her with murder. She was only 17. I need to learn more about prosecutors argument.

Too many young people today don't have what most young people had in past generations meaning a religious upbringing. Religion teaches us that others matter. That life isn't just about fun and games and pleasures. It teaches us about self discipline and accountability. Religion guides our steps and keeps us out of trouble and hopefully away from bad company. It teaches us that everyday is a day for learning and growing and about becoming a useful member if society. Without this too many young people are like ships lost at sea with no compass to guide them in the right direction. It is truly sad and unless this changes, we're sadly going to continue to see many more young lives throwing their lives away because nobody cares enough to tell them about the love of God.

Like this young girl saying before she would do what she did.. and it’s not the people around her fault as you said, it’s skills we don’t get taught unless you work in or round that type of field. I was lucky enough to work as a first responder for about 7 years and it’s something I was taught. Only 17 is 1 year from being an adult. Until 30 years ago 17 was not considered 'a child' but people like you have babied children instead of raising adults. I blame people like you and her parents for this.
She didn't think she would get convicted, she didn't think they could prove it because her enabling parents told her so. And her defense attorney did a defense attorney's job, but she did not think she would be convicted, it's why she was so shaken up when the verdict was announced.
It breaks my heart for the victims and their family and friends. It also breaks my heart for her family. And it's sad she chose all of this instead of figuring out how to cope, be responsible, and take accountability. The sentence was right on. Because how incredibly sad for the families who can not ever speak to their child, grandson, nephew, etc. again.

Would love to know a bit more about her adolescent development and any prior criminal acts, if any. As you noted, her presentation in court generally seemed so calm and controlled...I had to wonder about psychopathy and Antisocial PD. Thanks again for another great post.
She has prior criminal acts also. 2 weeks prior she robbed and destroyed a CHURCH. She’s a known drug user. Weed/mushrooms mostly. Anything I say is a fact not speculation.
She and her parents thought that any grief she may have exhibited after the murders - with the shrine and wearing his clothes and all that - meant she didn't deserve to be found guilty of murdering those young men. The things her mom said in her speech at the hearing with the victim impact statements were horrific. All she cared about was telling a grieving mother that her anger was misplaced, that she shouldn't have been angry at her daughter or herself for what they both said and did in connection with this entire tragedy.
My EX Sister in Law had 6 kids with my big Brother. She admitted to only wanting their one daughter and saw the 5 boys as objects. Thank Goodness the judge gave my brother full custody of all 6 of his kids. He is still a single Dad raising his kids and doing an amazing job at that.!
She must've thought her little wicked plan was going to play out in her favor til the judge started giving her the business😮 and rightfully so! Then she looking all shocked like she didn't run those babies into a brick wall and on purpose! Her mom looked like she persuaded the child and herself that she was getting off with a slap on the wrist!😮 smh!! U TOOK 2 LIVES😢😢silly rabbits!

I think that she blamed her actions on the fight with her boyfriend and believed that that justified her behavior. It seems that she never considered her own accountability, never considered that the passengers were her responsibility. She’s a spoiled, immature child with no awareness of herself as anything other than the center of all universes. She was not even capable of putting herself in the parent’s shoes or of understanding that she was totally at fault and that there are people who will hold her accountable.

Russo is part of what clevelanders call the four horseman. She is notoriously rough on people that are obviously guilty. I’ve had friends sentenced by her, never pretty.
look at his parents obituary for him.. you'll be shocked how she dressed and acts like she's in her 20's. She broke into a church and trashed it, does drugs and drinks and steals.. I found all this just from googling about her and this case.. she is not a nice person.. nor child-like. She posted these pics on his parents obituary for him and it is all about her. post after post after post. I feel so sad for his parents.
It’s like she doesn’t realise the gravity of the situation at all at first, thinking she’d get away with it for sure. No big deal. That is of course until the verdict is read.
I am sure there were a lot of red flags with this girl prior to the crime that were missed or ignored. Drug use, narcissism, bad parenting and/of lack of parental supervision, and mental health issues all combined for a perfect storm that fateful night.

Very satisfying outcome for this case. From her actions, prison, for life, is probably best. Nothing but trouble. Her little smirk endlessly is not a good look. Wish there was more back story on her. Not a lot of info about her.
You should analyze her mothers statement in court . You will gain perspective on Mackenzie’s behaviors & her entitlement She read a half hearted apology to the victims family. Her tone was smug and dismissive. She then proceeds to plead leniency by justifying every action in a tone best described as ; A teenager whining . She stated that Mackenzie cried for 2 months ! With an emphasis that revealed her belief that alone was sufficient 🤦🏻♀️. There is so much more including her Social Media Posts AFTER the accident… Loving your Videos
This kid requested that her drivers license was only suspended for 10 years right after killing 2 human beings... she was more concerned about her permit than the murder she committed... either she is not right in her head or... she was educated in a house where her "bad" actions were not sanctioned EVER... so she never expected this. It was until the very end... that she was truly aware of what was really going to happen to her after the verdict. I gotta say... her parents are as much guilty as she is.
Playing with your hair is actually a adaptive behavior and it could mean that you are trying to release stress because you're about to lie...(I watch too many crime/police interigations ) but I see a lot of these types of adaptive movements in her behavior that I was surprised that you didn't talk about
She seems like a child to me, possibly started this legal process immaturely, and matured considerably throughout the process. Started out like a kid getting school detention but ultimately understood the gravity of her situation by the time she was sentenced.
At 17 I knew ending a person's life wasn't the same as not turning in my homework. 17 is not 3. A 17 year old knows that if you take another person from this world you're most likely going to jail.

I believe the younger generation lives in a make believe world with all their social media, likes, unrealistic selfies, etc that when they actually confront real life, it’s usually tragic. Our children are too protected and therefore can’t handle reality. It’s so shocking to them. We have to stop pacifying them, we’re only hurting them.
Very great analysis of this case!! All of your body language interpretations are extremely insightful and knowledgeable. As well as the mental health observations of people in specific situations. You have a great way with capturing the viewers attention and keeping it.
Just from the very little I know about this case (first heard of her less than an hour ago), I'm still trying to wrap my head around one question: how is she even alive?? I just read that she was hospitalized afterwards, but seriously... just looking at this pragmatically, the fact that she's even alive seems to be due to nothing more than sheer dumb luck on her part (and it's really sad that the luck wasn't shared with the victims). So... I guess that's why I'm having a really hard time wrapping my head around her behavior. It doesn't at all fit what I would expect to see after an attempted suicide, let alone a murder-suicide.
