@@CraftAero Heh, it at least seems close to a legitimate question though, for a couple reasons. While this particular satellite appears to be in orbit around Earth, NASA *does* in fact have satellites elsewhere, some of which are closer to the Sun. Additionally, not everything comes out of the Sun at the same speed - the charged particulate matter of a coronal mass ejection (CME) travels much slower than the speed of light, AND we have warning satellites picking up on those, so when that stuff happens we first record the flash of light from the flare within minutes, then two or three days later a satellite reports on the charged particle wave passing by, which gives something like half an hour to an hour warning before that actually impacts Earth.
