In the USA the fire truck sounds the siren as soon as it leaves the building. And some fire houses have red traffic signals on the street that start flashing before the truck gets to the street.
Big truck with lots of flashing lights coming out of a fire station isn't enough, oh of course they were busy on the phone so much more important than paying attention whilst driving 😤
@@iangregoryhome yes I'd say your right in they were distracted. Sirens still should have been on if traffic was approaching. Can have the best lighting setup in the world yet If you have no sirens and people arnt paying attention the same thing will happen.
Firies should be like the police. Just cruise around continuosly looking for fires. Hide behind bushes with fire detectors, have fire blitz's on long weekends and public holidays, go extra hard looking for fires and put them out twice as fast. Maybe even unmarked undercover fire engines.
What’s he honking at? Just because you have lights and a siren doesn’t give you the right of way, you are ASKING people to yield for you. He still has to obey the laws!

Mate I was a paramedic for decades. Worked solo did at least 8 lights n sirens every day. Most of the cases were crap. I could have got an u er to the job. O big deal and yet the fireys rushing around like clowns to what. Yea another false alarm. ⏰
We pull out on the approach and test our lights and sirens every day. This tiny drive has no means of letting civilians know they’re pulling out on an emergency run. Don’t be so judgmental.
