Come on Channel 5, it’s an overtaking lane, you should only ever be in it when overtaking. It’s not the ‘fast lane’, it has the same speed limit as the other two lanes.
Even at 100mph the smoothest looking road-surface seems to undulate under your wheels, so at 150mph it only takes a small, unseen pothole to send you careering off into the scenery!
Where i live, you are now considered to be a "madness driver" if you do 100% over the speed limit. (Or above 200 kph / 130 mph) and not only do you lose your license and get a large fine, your car will also be seized and sold at auction. And yes it is also seized and sold, if the driver just borrowed the car or it is a leased vehicle. There have been cases where someone has had their parents or friends car seized.
@@ravenheart369 It is true here. Does not even matter if the car is a rental or leased vehicle, it will still be seized. The owner will be able to take the matter to court and try and convince a judge not to take the car, almost every time they seize the car.
@@ThePierre58 21 metres is reaction distance only, for 70mph add on another 75 metres for 96 metres total stopping distance. Using the RAC calculations at 150 mph the overall stopping distance would be 388.62 metres (roughly 1/4 of a mile).

Police should focus on catching real criminals instead of picking on drivers for going 1 mile over the speed limit and I’m not referring to this. People doing 150mph should be banned from driving for life
I’m a new drive get catch doing 38 in a 30zone and reason for that I was coming out off a village it have a sign like 2 yard saying 40pm so I start building my speed just as you know I was flash doing 38mp in a 30zone what you think will happen to me as a new driver anyone knows ?
That sounds like BS. Fixed cameras aren't that close to speed zone changes - for that specific reason you stated. They're position in a way that you easily have time to slow down.
If the driver was doing this in America the officer would of took out his gun when approaching the vehicle.😐... Much respect to this officer for handling things calmly and professionally without a firearm. American policing can learn a lot from other countries...
That Officer Needs The Chevy Tahoe Police Package The Ford Explorer Police Interceptor Utility Or The Dodge Charger And Durango Pursuit Plus The Ford Crown Victoria And The Ford Taurus Police Interceptor Sedan They All Can Reach Up 160 MPH (260 km/h) As The Top Speed
@@JimLem Ford Can Handle Very Well Many In Fact Many Ford Explorer Police Interceptor Utility Vehicles Have Been Catching Many BMWS Very Well Due It’s Pursuit Rated
Nope. Tahoes are limited to 130. PI Utility Ecoboosts are limited to 150, NA cars are limited to 130. Chargers are limited to 150. Durangos are limited to 130. The Crown Victoria doesn’t need a speed limiter as it is not possible to go any faster than 130 in one. Taurus PI is limited to 150.
Is that it? I've done 175mph in Germany ofcourse 🫣 I don't get how people get nervous or panic even doing 70/80mph, sitting at 150/160mph even doesn't scare me at all I just want to go faster and faster, I love that adrenaline rush.
it depends entirely on the car, i have done speeds well in excess of this (again in Germany) and it was fine, however 75mph in my girlfriends Fiat 500 is more than fast enough!
