I'm doing the same with scrambling. The best mods for this is very niche mods that are not too extreme (for example those long axles are ruining that). On the other side, JATO for everything is fun.

Do a car hunt but you drive on the opposite surface the car is made.for. Add in the randomness of parts.and vehicles. So if u get an Indy car its all off road only. Trophy truck on pavement and so on. I'm sure you could work it out in details.
