Car journey from Scotland to Pakistan in 9 days - BBC URDU

I did this journey back in 1984 on a 1.3L Toyota corolla on a second hand engine bought from a. Scrap yard 😂 I drove myself, it took 9 days. I was only 19, crazy things you do when you're young 😂 No carnet in them days. Made it all the way to Rawalpindi

My dad did it in 1952, and carried on both ways till 1975, only flying occasionally if it was necessary to get the other end quickly. The shortest time was 5 days and longest 22 days as he liked visiting places. Most of the these journeys were done with his friend Ch.Shifat sahib( cricketer Moeen Ali’s grandfather).

My dad did it back in the 60s with his friends in his blue volkswagen Beetle (a classic beauty and still being driven today) in three weeks!

Took us 18 days in 1978 in a Ford transit. I was a little boy and had the time of my life. Abu did a lot of driving on dangerous roads.

As a kid growing up in the 90s in Quetta, I used to hear legendary tales of people driving to Europe and back. This is in my bucket list, hopefully one day I get a chance to do this.

i did it in 1987 and was 20 year old, had never driven a car before in my life, we were taking 2 cars and the other driver just let us down a day before we were leaving so I had to learn in a few hours how to drive and then drove to pakistan without a licence and only got pulled over in yugoslavia where we put some money in our passports and off we were ! sorry we went from belgium

A family friend of ours did his drove from London to Jehlum to experience it all; and he said it was an amazing lifetime experience. Although he travelled on his own! i wana do this one day! but as this man has said need s big car mines tiny

No Pakistani is allowed to come to Pakistan by road from any country on his car 🚗 . For that he must have to have a foreign Passport as well.

Dear friends I also took the journey UK(Dover to Ostend) by ferry and Belgium, Germany, Austria,Yogoslavia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Iran Afghanistan by Datsun 1200 in 1978 in. Eight days only driver. Peaceful time. Excited to read your journey and remember mine also. I had Pakistan passport and faced no problem.

I don't think carrying fresh fruits is a good idea. Many countries disallow fresh produce from other countries.
