I owned a 1961 Chrysler New Yorker in 1979, and I bought it for $250, how about that. I had it for 4 years and I sold it for $350 in 1983.. I love that car it was roomy push button control for reverse, neutral, drive second, and low drive automatic, I painted it navy blue it was an awesome car... I sold it because my transmission was going out again.....
The commentor is off the mark on the styling comments. Chrysler has no fins by 62, Caddy was hanging into fins thru the 60's. Mopars forward look was totally different than gm or ford styling. Chrysler also didnt compete the Caddy ir lincln, that was the Imperials job and market.
