My father used to race motorcycles there, his bike of choice was the Scott Flying Squirrel. I have a Certificate awarded him stating that he had a top speed of 107 mph.

Your dad had nerve Peter, imagine 107mph on a bumpy track on a bike with primitive suspension and a leather hat for safety. Cheers to you both.

I remember an old lady that raced Bugatti's there in 1920s Cynthia Turner from Scalby, Scarborough. I use to play in one of her cars.

Lived there for 8 years to 2013, to this day, in-between the built up area and opposite to the big tesco supermarket, you can still see what is left over of the truck. Quite clear, but surprisingly most of the people that live there won't even know or notice.

R.S.OUTLAW was my grand father and he also raced at this track along with these legends

A sports car race with a proper old-style "Le Mans" start. Drivers must erect the hood before setting off and can only lower it after the first stop. Probably the Essex Motor Club 6-Hour Endurance Race on 12th May 1928 (the only long distance race for touring cars at Brooklands that year).
