Thanks, this video is most useful. Fair warning, make sure you don't attempt to take apart until after buying the CR2016 battery. The buttons inside the Toyota keyless remote are not held in place. There is just a thin piece of rubber on top of them.
This is a very helpful video! Thank you! I've done this before and it works fine. I did the job myself because my dealer wanted 75 dollars to do it! (And dealers wonder why no-one trusts them!)
excellent hack, you saved us a great deal of $$$.$$,plus it worked like new! not sure why someone would say it wouldn't work,it's just a battery swap- not a circuit board replacement.
Do you think if I buy a new key like yours do you think I can program it and cut it out and be able to use it on my 2006 Camry? It's cause I like that key a lot more cause it has the unlock/ lock buttons built into it. Please reply!!! Thx!
I replaced the remote battery for a Camry 2008 that I bought recently. The remote light is illuminating but it is not working on (communicating with) the car. Do you have any idea what could be the issue? Do I have to program (pair) the remote with the car? Is there any way to check that the remote is functioning properly? Thanks.
