WHY DO THEY CHANGE THE LYRICS TO THIS MASTERPIECE!!! Edit: The new version is actually really good and this was only my initial reaction without hearing the painstar part.
I'm pretty sure Will thinks the lyrics are too personal/embarrassing(?) since he's never actually said what they are during the last part (but someone on reddit posted that it's something like "The great transgressions of Wurtz / as before I will not regret the punishment")

I hope they play this live in new haven I’ve literally only seen like 2 live videos of this song and it’s my favorite!!! I guess it’s not part of their set list 😢
@@evildaughter4 I think he's referring to the way some artists have to resort to following the mainstream formula when they feel their music career is failing.
it could also be a music thing; lots of songs needlessly go into a quiet section without any build up, and so the bridge might be a subversion of that cliche by actually doing it properly
