There is a beauty in the way the camera zooms in on the Xantia Activa accompanied by excitement, only for the excitement to be for the wheel trims on my twingo 🤣 was lovely chatting to you guys, my wheel trims have never been praised so highly before!
I’m here before this channel takes off to another complete level, never see many original ideas and content now a days, brilliant . Time to go back and watch the rest of the videos ✌🏻
hey its me at 34:01! Funny you mention the 106 being alot of peoples first cars as its also my first car! (and on L plates) I've you seen you guys pop up on my tiktok feed alot recently, love the stuff im seeing from you!
6:24 The Audi in Spirited Away was actually a B5 Audi A4 (Quattro), accurately depicted as a left hand drive car, as in Japan it's a status symbol to have your expensive European car in LHD.
This was me waving out of the passenger window of my dad’s C4-generation Audi 100, before the truly unexceptional combination of 133 horsepower and a four speed auto took us to 60 mph a whopping 10 seconds later. Brilliant video, I’m hooked!
@@WAYMOEuk no worries! Funnily enough I saw the stage show of Spirited Away recently and was excited to see how they would represent the Audi on stage. Turned out they sat on some boxes and held a cardboard disc to represent a steering wheel… still, the rest of the show slapped
As the owner of the white dolomite, a lot of it (not structurally) is fibreglass and filler yes My bf’s blue one is a lot less fibreglass and filler but a lot more crusty instead xD
(ps, thanks for letting us know we were in this whilst in the mcdonald’s car park after the show aha, love seeing my own and my friends’ cars in videos!)
You got our mini You got our mini convoy at around 14.35! My mate's white Renault Megane which is a normally aspirated diesel. My Spearmint Rhino Fabia Estate with a 1.4 OHV engine, which is a lightly modified version of the engine found in the Felicia, Favorit and rear engined Estelle. And the red car behind my Fabia is another mate's car, a Perodua Nippa which is essentially a Daihatsu Cuore built under licence in Malaysia. We were going to do a 0-60 race but realised we'd need until next FOTU to reach 60. The contenders for the world's slowest drag race. Good to see those flutes Sniff and Smith, too.
Completely agree with the whole "not driving your car in the first 30 seconds" mantra. That's time that you let the engine warm up a bit whilst you get all your stuff together for the journey - sat nav, music, de-icing etc. Smith and Sniff did a great bit on general mechanical sympathy in cars and I follow most of it and generally always have. I don't ratchet up my handbrake, I'll pull it up on the button, I wont put the car over 3500 rpm until its done a few miles and warmed up and despite owning what to many would be considered a car *designed* to be taken by the scruff of the neck and thrashed (Toyota GT86), I think I've only dumped the clutch twice in 2 years of ownership.
My Dad always said that every time the crankshaft turned, it wore a little bit off. He very rarely revved an engine above 2000rpm and when pulling out of a junction, would be in 3rd by the time he straighted the wheel.
Cornwall's entire tourist industry has been very fortunate in that nobody has ever managed to successfully sexualize the term "cream tea". It's entire summer tourism would change to a very different kind of rubber-suited, open-minded, couples-based demographic.
ULEZ is mostly to stop old Transits and 56 plate 118D's chugging around greater London, turning my snot black and giving kids asthma. Classic cars are exempt because there's comparatively very few of them. I think if all the diesel Peugeot 404 pickups in the UK entered central London the numbers would still be in low double figures, so I say they're very welcome
Johnny, if you need a wee in a busy place, you can always crate a Car Door Carsie Pop the boot, open the front and rear passenger doors, and Bingo! You have your own 3'-sided cubicle! Anybody passing will be more interested in what's in your boot - rather than what you may be ctually doing. I'm told that people who like to exercise their canine companions during the hours of darkness also create car door carsies - but prefer to keep their boot lids closed. This obviously diverts the attention of any passers-by back to the occupants of the car.
@@WAYMOEuk mk1 looks fairly different is early 90s. There is a 2 and 2.5 that was a 2.5 in the video I think and then 3 is the popular one from 2002-2007. I had an mk3 Mondeo ST220 so a fair whack of useless mondeo knowledge over here 🤣 On from what you said in the podcast, I bought my mondeo st220 because my dad had one!
