GONE IN 30 SECONDS | Don't be the next victim. Lock your car and take the fob with you. This car was stolen on Christmas day on Racebrook Road in Woodbridge.
@@loneryee they’re possibly using a method used in Europe. Drove around till you pick up a key fob signal. A handheld device copies the signal and then can unlock and start the vehicle. That’s why you shouldn’t keep your keys near your front door and put it in a faraday bag.
Always make sure to lock your doors and never leave your keys in the ignition... or hell maybe put you're key fob in some foil or in a special pouch to prevent anyone trying to clone the signal from the key fob.
@@fbl2619 if you watched the video he checked every car door to see if the cars were unlocked, then when he found the unlocked car he started the car because the key was inside the car.
Unlocked car with keys inside? This is plain negligence, insurance company shouldn't have to pay for this. Yes, the thieves are scummy, not denying that.
People here in the comment sections are saying that this car is unlocked, but that’s wrong. The new generation of cars nowadays can easily be breached using the frequency scanner tool, and it's easy to turn the engine on with one press using the push start if the car senses the same frequency nearby. It doesn’t have to be locked or unlocked.
Gee so much for cameras on the drivewaay people being ballsy lol the car owner left his keys on seat in open car so obvously some one cased the place can see another car in the back. Always a good idea to take those keys right out of the ignition quick put in pocket or purse to prevent this kind of thing.
@@JohnSmith-fq7hjthe news channel posted this tbh, as easy as it looked, it’s real. Never even heard of Woodbridge but I’ll tell you right now I bet that’s a nice ass area, that’s why they left the keys in the car
When you PROVIDE both the convenience and the uninterrupted opportunity for a stranger, it’s not too far-fetched to say that it will happen. Do better - both the owner (or whoever drove it last and left the car keys inside unlocked) and the thief.
The point isn’t whether they leave the keys in the car - the point is if it’s not your car, you have no business taking it. Idc if you have a million dollars on the front seat, it’s not yours. 😡
What a scumbag. Why do they do this? They can’t get much for these cars. But the amount of loss and hurt to the owner of the car is wayy more. I guess they just don’t care.
Throw a mat of pin pricks on the seats and cover with a little carpet, stops em every time you just have to Remeber to remove them lol, or razor blade the wheel theifs ain’t looking for specifics just a easy target
@@aissabannani3072 you need the keys to start it... i have a 2016 nissan rogue (the same car stolen in the video) and if my keys are not at least in my car, my car will not start
True - you can make a copy of a key fob ,but it's not ONE key fob FITS ALL .... All cars have specific models of key fobs. - they have to cary boxes of blanks and a programming computer and it doesn't take 5 seconds to program..... I have a scanner, i program keys , its a few minutes and also requires PIN CODE for most newer cars , that even you as an owner don't know. You get it from the dealer ,or a locksmith,or with another special program....
Never seen a more happier thief which makes me wonder if this was even real or just started to appear as if they stole it. This wicked society will soon end. Keep it up! Your days are already counted before the end comes.
They can’t steal my car if there’s no transmission (rebuilding). Remember to remove your transmission when exiting the vehicle, and check the back seat for the steering wheel.
In Ohio a Columbus cop told me that if you leave your keys in your car or your car running when it’s stolen, that you can’t press charges. Idk if that’s true but it should be. Lock yo shit people!
@@LevinEdits777 most modern cars have push-start ignition. To actually turn on the car, the key fob needs to be within a set radius to the ignition for it to actually engage the engine. The owner’s keys may have been inside the owner’s house, but thieves have a signal boosting device to deceive the car into thinking the key present, which allows the thieves to start the car and drive off.
Key was left in Unlocked car. ...If they could copy the key fob remotely they would have copied and made keys for ALL 3 cars and steal them ALL ....CLEARLY key was left in an unlocked car. - that's why he was checking the door handles. ....if you made a key fob copy there is no need to check - you click and it opens. .....
I mean, my dad does that a lot of times, just leaving the car, with the keys still in the car, the car being turned on, but he always comes back in a minute or two. Yknow maybe you'd think his car will get stolen because we're in Romania, but on our street it's mostly older people that we also know still possible to get stolen
Happens in New Cannan and Darien. Only reason someone got their car back is because it ran out of gas on the Merritt Parkway. Cops put out PSAs NOT to leave tour keys in your car.
Keys were certainly left in the car..they were clearly car hopping..some people are saying this was a relay attack but no one ever went to the door to steal the signal..he popped that passenger door and looks like he had grabbed something..I know people who leave their keys in their car religiously..this person was no different..doors unlocked and keys were left in them
What about the bang bang 16 year old African American shot dead by brave home owner. Then “he was such a good boy didn’t deserve To be shot” why isn’t this the story instead.
I don't understand why people don't install a hidden kill switch, it costs $5 for a switch and wire at auto parts store and takes 1O mins to install. I have one on all my vehicles. No fuel, no go lol
