car test CITROEN C6 V6 3.0i 

I just bought one today. When I arrived at the cardealer, it was love at first sight.

I read some reviews on this car on the internet, can't believe some reviewers gave a low-rating for this car due to it's "Poor" handling. Pity some of motoring journalist today are poisoned with obsession on handling and are blind to the brilliance of engineering that made this car so comfortable to ride in. They value cheap, boring Ford Fiesta rather than a piece of art like C6

Sorry to be picky. at 1:50 there is a mistake, the DSs' rear window is convex, not concave. It's the CX with the concave window. Glad to see Citroen are staying true to their amazing cars from the past with the C6.

A pity not more people who could afford it, bought it. It had its issues, but I love every bit of that car. They don't make them anymore... and not a lot of second hand to choose from.

Really great review, loved all the music and it's an interesting car to be sure.

I have a weak spot for Citroen, I know French electronics suck, but my heart melts when I see a CX, DS (latest version), SM or this C6. I can't help it, and I still have bought a Corolla, c'est vraiment majestueuse, de voir la creme de la creme en confort en balance (sorry no accents here)

@trespire - Just going to say that as well. The C6 & CX look very alike, I've had 7 CX's so I should know, and the rear window in the C6 is very similar to a CX's not a DS as mentioned, the DS's arcs outward.

This car has a soul, like older Citroën such as DS and SM.

The diesels are around and much cheaper in the market as the 3.0 petrol, as the last one is quite rare. I understood the petrol engine is better than the diesels.

I fucking love this car.

I had a 2007 2.7 Lignage. Great when it was running (without problems) but in 2 years of ownership it was in the dealer circa 10 times for repairs. Must of cost Citroen a fortune under the warranty I had with them. Great car, badly made.

Citroen does have a bit of a history for producing some unreliable cars. I certainly hope it's not true with the new C6......because I love it. The style, the interior, the exterior, the top rate suspension. I really hope this car is a success.

How ironic they are using Mozart's Requiem. This car nearly buried Citroen. Love this C6, it was always going to be my limousine of choice. If I could afford the chauffeur.

Great car. Very different to the alternatives, like the 5 series, that look quite boring in comparison. I just hope that it's replacement is as striking and daring as this one, if not more so. Unsure about the reviewer, though: hearing him say "petrol 215 bhp petrol" was a little odd. However, he can't discourage me from the magnificant C6.

My first car was a cx gti Turbo mark one of 1985. I like C6 but i prefer my 607 v6 3l ....and my old A8 4.2. Lol classic form is better in this full sized or quasi full sized cars

Such a shame though, the C6 got some great reviews when it arrived, and I thought it look wonderful, but I'm starting to hear poor reports about faults and reliability, some of the costs are worse than big Citroen owners are used to as well,which might stop me owning one in the future ;-(

nice exterior - interior is disappointing though. they lifted the entire console / buttons out of the 407 coupe.

I have evenly a 15 years old mercedes w220 long wheelbase V12 and have big difficulty to like french cars....too short and no swag...exepted 607 and C6.... never i want leave my 607 i love it with same energy with i hate 508 and C5.. the two worst shame of french cars...because represent regression of luxury cars..its awful to obliged 607 owners than buy a 508..508 is a nulity vs 607..i hate gasoil and little cube overboosted....3l v6 is a minimum for a beautiful sedan

Shame about the styling. Where the SM is perfection, this is an unsound from all angles clusterf*ck.

Citroen makes ugly, hideous cars. You will only like them when you own one. Then you will realise how sublime and refined it is, and how the quality will live up to your expectations.
