Hi Pan. I'm having trouble detailing the honeycomb grill of my 2021 Mazda CX-5 GT so I'm looking for suggestions. I know you have detailed a similar SUV so I would like to know what is the best way to handle it. I'm thinking of going to a no rinse wash & shine to avoid any soap marks from soap that lingers on the back side of the grill and leaves marks when it dries on the like black piano grill, and then use a ceramic spray (like the Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating) to protect it so that it will make the job easier the next time. What do you think?
Is there an iron remover that you’d suggest for ceramic coated cars? My mustang is ceramic coated and it looks like I have some sticky crap on my car, don’t want to clay bar because I know that can damage the coating
Hey brother great channel. I just recently got obsessed with detailing my car because of you. Thank you! I’m fairly new here but do you have any videos showing off the equipment in your garage or what you would recommend for a detailing garage?
it was kinda funny because i’ve been watching a lot of his older videos and he’s like “WELCOME BACK TO PANNN THE ORGANIZER” and in this video he’s all calm and stuff lol. Thank you pan for sharing your amazing knowledge with us viewers! don’t know what I would do without you! love you pan!
I’ve been following your channel now for 5 years and by far the most comprehensive detailing channel ever! Thank you. I’ve acquired enough knowledge that my car washing detailing approach and results have increased exponentially. Keep doing what you do! Love to see more on your 911. Also been seeing dry ice cleaning and curious to know what you think about it? It’s certainly not a paint surface cleaning but under carriage and maybe a few other areas wheels?.? Would love to know your thoughts…
Thanks Jon! Dry ice cleaning requires lots of specialty gear and not sure I would want all of that in my garage. You need a powerful compressor, plus all the bits and pieces along with it. I saw my friend Matt's videos on that topic (Obsessed Garage) and I concluded that it's not for me hehe.
Just commenting for the algorithm lol. Love the channel pan. Just washed my car today and since finding this channel I feel like I'm actually doing things as they should be done lol. The confidence is amazing!
Awesome! One of the goals of my channel is to give the knowledge and confidence my viewers need to raise their detailing game to the next level. So you embody my goal! 😁👍🏻
Thanks Pete. I appreciate it. How did you discover my channel by the way? Welcome to my channel. Pan, today I washed my wife's car, I used a bucket, wash soap with wax, water hose, a drying rag with Turtle Wax Hybrid in Yellow - can't find it anywhere now :-( as I am almost out... I bought the next best thing with a wet wax finish, but, whom are we kidding, ceramic or wax? I am not happy, but my wife's car is nice.
Right on pan thanks for all the great tips I always do the 2 bucket method you had asked me about my truck I drive it is a 2003 black dodge dually it is quite a bit of work to keep it nice but it is worth it
Thanks for all you content, I always pick something up from your videos. One thing I’m looking out for is what protection do I use for metal bumpers and part that are powder coated. I have a Jeep Wrangler and find myself washing often, but always wondered what’s the best thing to use on the aftermarket parts. Again thanks for the awesome content, and keep them coming!
Thanks Pan , great content. I was wondering whether you have look at the different options inline softeners or RO filters to improve the quality of water when rinsing to avoid water spotting and contamination.
Not really. I have a CR Spotless deionizer in my garage, and that gives me 0 ppm of minerals. So that's perfection. I don't need to look into any other solution really.
@@PanTheOrganizer have you come across any of the cheaper disposable inline filters ? Think some people have used them at the end on a hose for final rinse. I’ve no idea how effective they really are.
Hey Pan! Incredible video. Could you please make a video for people who need to deal with hard water? For example, what would be the best car shampoo with water softeners? Hope you got my drift!
It's an idea, but it's better to tackle the problem at the source: the water supply. I would recommend having a water deionizer setup, that is inexpensive and simple to install. I made a video about mine here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IKNL1chAQXY.html
Good afternoon sir. I am about to do the big first detail. The one thing that I am completely not prepared for is if I get some polish on the black vinyl on my car. Could you give me some tips how to ge tthat out if I get that white haze on my black vinyl?
Good morning Pan, thank you for always providing the most up to date content! Will you be releasing any videos on the car detailing show in France that you went to last weekend? Hopefully
Hi Pan, love this video. Wondering if you have a recommendation for post-wash protection that's the easiest to apply? I've watched a lot of your videos about graphene and hydrophobics, but curious if there's any that you felt were easier to apply than others. Basically for lazy people :)
I’m sure you have talked about this but I just discovered your channel and have been searching your videos trying to find out what pressure washer you are using. If you see this comment can you let me know? Thanks
Hi Pan. New to the channel. Thx for the great tips. Without going through the whole library, question about (ceramic or other) coatings applied to the paint. I have a new 2023 GMC Canyon Denali and wondering about your advice on this. Yes or No? Particular product? Pros v Cons? Much appreciated. Bill
Hi Bill. First, let me officially welcome you to my channel. You discovered one of the biggest car detailing channels on RU-vid as we surpassed 965,000 subscribers and we have over 130 million views! I have been detailing for 26 years and I love to share my knowledge and passion with my viewers. You found the right channel to help you learn everything about detailing. A new car is never new until it's properly detailed. - at the factory, the paint defects are often corrected quickly by rotary polishing which can leave marks and holograms, so polishing corrects those, before you lock that in long term with a ceramic coating for example. - vehicles are then transported by truck, train and boat so they are exposed to the elements, industrial fallout, brake dust, rail dust, etc - vehicles are often left at boat docks (when transported by boat) or in exterior parking lots for weeks or months, again being exposed to the elements - at the dealership, the vehicles are almost always poorly prepped using the same dirty water that was used for all the cars on a given day, and poor washing and drying methods leading to swirls and scratches - at the dealership, a layer of cheap wax or paint sealant is usually applied to attempt to make the paint glossy prior to delivery. It's crucial to remove any previous protection before you apply a ceramic coating, as coatings need to bond directly to a virgin clear coat. If you only plan on applying a regular carnauba wax or paint sealant though, you could decide to skip machine polishing, as those protectants can be applied over existing protection and it's not as crucial to prep the paint as well. I explain all of this in this popular video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QgoyrC-5CMc.html So you can better visualize the new car prep process, here are the steps I perform on a brand new car for my customers: Mercedes S 580: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Vq_tfcwryVI.htmlsi=whord2_UEFSg28UW Aston Martin Vantage: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OKga3yZVTqo.html Volvo XC60: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tvDBBenhYFA.html Tesla Model Y: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gohks8xP5NY.html Porsche 911 Carrera: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2ckiivbFqs4.html Mercedes AMG GT63S matte black: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eU8zg1lXvXY.htmlsi=oGxoCp8PWt7gTncV Audi Q7: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-t7HCBSVnizM.html
I would love my experience at the car wash to be better. I usually average around $7.50 for hand washing my own car and using their pressure washer. I would like to be able to foam my car there with my own foam and spend less money overall.
It depends how badly dirty they are, but for exhaust tips, my favourite product is this: amzn.to/3iw55yO It comes with a sponge, that you lightly dampen with water prior to use, then pick up some of that polish in the container and start scrubbing. You can see me use that on chrome exhaust tips in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0lC9uyKXs8Q.html
As always Pan, another great video! I really like this kit! I've been using the ultra black sponge and n914 for my vehicle there's no heavy dirt normally. Everything here works amazingly, I have been using the gentle snow foam that is phenomenal. Still brake buster is my go too, but I've been using turtlewax ice seal and shine the sio2 really helps and bead maker for an unprotected vehicle. This is why you're the best!
Pan, when I wear any kind of gloves🧤, I feel very uncomfortable with gloves as they stick to my palm as my palm gets perspire down. So what's the solution of this?
Not much I can do to help you unfortunately. You’ll have to try different style of gloves (latex, nitrile, etc) and see what you feel comfortable. Comfort is really subjective and varies from one person to another.
What do you think about silicone spray for plastic and rubber seals ? Don’t know anything about it and My buddy showed me using his jeep spraying it on exterior plastic (Bumpers, lower door, wiper cowl, window trim etc) I will say it did have a nice shine a dry to the touch no greasy residue... it might just be a jeep thing lol
I only use silicone spray for rubber seals around doors and trunk lids, to make sure the rubber stays soft and doesn't freeze during the winter (moisture) and that way your doors always open.
I don't use it on plastics so I can't comment. For plastics, I use compatible products like CarPro PERL diluted 3:1 for exterior plastics, or 303 Aerospace protectant. Or better yet, a trim coating like CarPro DLUX or Gyeon Trim (longer lasting).
@@PanTheOrganizer well good to know 👍🏻 might grab a can to do all the rubber seals. Right now I have Gtechniq C4 and maintain it with VRP, I’m trying to find a replacement for VRP. I think I’ll try CarPro PERL next
Pan, this is a great video and helps people know what type of products they should have in their setup, especially if they are starting out. Loved the split between you talking to camera and clips on the products working. A very comprehensive video. Keep it up.
Thank you, Pan! For rinseless washes, which do you prefer, a mitt or sponge? I just started rinseless washing with ONR and I went with the same black sponge you see Mr. Lacrois using in the video. The limitations I see with it are hard to get to areas like honeycomb grill, the wedges around the lights, trunk wedges, etc. I'm thinking a mitt might actually be better.

Fantastic washing tips and overall care of your vehicle, like the part about the synthetic shammies, 😁 also never start the wash process without Grit guards. Awesome video pan.👍🇨🇦
That would be an APC pre-rinse step, so yes you could do it, but perhaps using a foam cannon with Koch Chemie Gsf and Green Star combined is a better option for a pre-wash. The instructions are on the label of Gsf as to how much Gs to put to make it an active foam.
@@PanTheOrganizer well, i guess the reason i'm doing this step is because they say not to rinse car before the pre wash without something to help lube. so, really, i guess i can just do a little bit of GSF on its own, rinse that off, and then do GSF again for the pre wash? i wouldn't really need Green Star at all right? unless the Green Star will further help that step.
Great general review of a basic wash kit!! Your enthusiasm and expertise for keeping our vehicles clean is contagious. I always come away with something new, maybe a product or a method, when I view your videos 👍
Thanks for all tips. I bought my starter kit as you guided. But many products not available in my country and shipping are so expensive from USA. I have two questions. To be honest it is a pain...😂 1. How I can enhace my wash towards minimum touch to no touch so I do not need to touch the paint work with my weekly wash. (So I can touch cleaning as it needs or like monthly or every two months) 2. Which APC is the best for car paint as the pre-wash/ pre-treat that is amonia free and ceramic friendly? Cheers...
loving the boxing skills Pan hahah! This is why I love your channel and learn everything from you. You do something funny, then straight to the point. Entertainment + knowledge.
I have a 2013 Nissan Sentra that's been nothing but a lemon but for now I have to keep it because I don't have the money to buy a new vehicle. So I know I need to clean it more but get a little lazy. How much should I really invest in all of these products and any recommendations for just the products I should really get?
I just did my first detail and I can NOT get rid of ALL the water spots! It rained the other day so my car was COVERED in water spots. So frustrating! And it's a black car so it shows really bad!
Hello Pan. Nice work. Greeting from Panama city, Panama. What is the best options for pre wash soap in the brands Koch chemie and car pro for a car that have ceramic and also for a car that does not have ceramic? I am asking for these 2 brands because are easy access here in Panamá. Also what are the specs to look in a leaf blower to dry the car if have coating?
After an unusual struggle getting it, I recently tried the Phoenix Titan detail spray. The day after using it on our black car, I got stares and a compliment when at the gas station. VERY PLEASED. Excited to try on our other vehicles.
Some companies have better tire cleaners and others have better snow foams, while some make a better ceramic or graphene coatings. If you had to choose one company to solely buy from and build your whole arsenal from only their products...who would it be? Luckily that's not the situation, and we can all pick and choose based on who does what best within our individual budgets, but I suspect you'd pick either CarPro or Koch-Chemie...maybe Adam's. Note: I'm not asking what company you'd want to fail, and I understand if you don't want to answer and make someone mad because you didn't name them. I'm just trying to figure out who I can blindly buy from and just know I'll not be totally let down, even if someone else makes a slightly better version of that particular product.
I prefer getting products from different companies, as it allows me to get the best of each category. But if you want to buy all the products from a single company, the higher end ones are the ones I would recommend: CarPro, Gyeon and Gtechniq for example.
@@PanTheOrganizerGood answer! Of course we want to be able to pick based on quality and not name alone. At least I know if I'm walking through a hypothetical store and I see some new CarPro, Gyeon, etc product on the shelf buying without seeing a review is a safe bet. Also, I ended up ordering that Invisible Glass Ceramic Glass Coating. Once applied, I'll let you know how it is.
I got a drying towel from the rag company, brand new, I finished washing my car and now was drying it. The towel left streaks and bits of the towel were being left behind on my car.
is titan really necessary if you're using a good shampoo with good sud lubrication? I read it has good protective qualities as well, but leaves streaks and high spots if over used.
Hey Pan. What product do you use on your car to make the water fly off so easily with a leaf blower? I just got a new car and I want to protect it as much as possible by doing touchless washes. Thanks!
My car has a professional grade ceramic coating on it. It’s the best form of paint protection and it makes washing and drying the car a breeze. A leaf blower and you dry your car in a few minutes thanks to the coating’s superior hydrophobic properties. I did a popular tutorial showing how to apply a ceramic coating at home here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sqQYVjxFqK0.html

Hey Pan! I’ve been buying a lot of the products that you recommend, but I have a question. The titan eod drying aid… can I use that every time I was my car? 2x a week? Thanks!
It’s a bit overkill for twice weekly. Every week you can use Bead Maker or Dream Maker. Once every 3-4 weeks you could use Titan. Don’t forget Titan is a 3 months silica sealant. Not quite a light detailer.
@@PanTheOrganizer Would it be bad on my car's paint or cause any harm if I use bead maker on it twice a week after a wash? I want the hydrophobic properties and also the gloss that it provides. I saw your review from back in 2018 and I really like the product.
Try to avoid using waterless washes unless you have no other choice. If you have access to water, I always recommend the traditional two bucket wash method. Waterless washes should only be used as a last resort method for those who live in places with no access to water, or in cities with heavy water restrictions or water bans. And waterless washes should only be used on very lightly dirty vehicles.
Let's say you don't have the time to wash the car at home. You bring the manual pump spray foam gun with you to one of those car wash bays. Foam the car, then "wash" mode for soapy water, then "rinse" mode for water. As long as a drying aid (such as Xtreme Solutions Topper) is applied, drying the car with a microfiber drying towel should be fine even though you didn't use contact method when applying the soap?
I would always recommend a hand wash stage. It's the only way to ensure 100% clean paint. You would not hand dry the vehicle if you didn't properly wash the paint by hand first. There's just so much a snow foam can do in the contactless pre-wash. That's just one of the steps to minimize scratches and swirls. But you need to manually contact wash your paintwork that's for sure.
Is there a video that offers a step-by-step process on how to detail a car? I want to get into this for my own car and for others in my neighborhood. I'm a beginner with no background in cars, but am as eager and willing to learn as ever. I have already bought a pressure washer, buckets, and a vacuum, so I am serious about doing this work. If anyone has a really friendly beginner's guide that helps people like me I would appreciate it!

I noticed that in this kit you didn’t include a wax, ceramic, or graphene spray. Do you still recommend “Ice seal and shine” for say people who have not decided yet to go ceramic, graphene, DIY route, or to get something professionally done? Winter is coming and I want more protection then a detail spray but I don’t want to create hours of removal work if I initially decide to ceramic coat myself but then later want to get something professionally done and have hours of labor required to strip and polish the paint for preparation.
All my top recommendations for products are in my most recent popular annual car detailing products awards: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gRwsznwfTwE.html
Hi Pan! Thanks for the tips! Do you recommend using only the hybrid Titan detailer alone( after drying), or can I use the turtle wax shine before adding the hybrid titan detailer?
It depends if your paint already has a long lasting protection. Ideally, as a base layer, you'd want something like a ceramic coating or at least a ceramic spray for long term durability. Then, once every 2-3 months, you add a "topper" like Phoenix EOD Titan to boost and maintain the properties. Or any other lighter spray for maintenance. For your regular weekly washes, use a quick detailer or drying aid, nothing too durable, as you don't want to overload the paint with too many products one on top of the other, which can lead to product buildup and streaking.
Love your videos! Question I recently decontaminated, clay barred my car then sprayed seal n shine over it. I borrowed my friends buffer machine so I can polish my girls car but now I want to do mine. Do I have to kill the seal n shine first before doing that?
You would have to wash the car, dry it, and then move to machine polishing. That mechanical abrasion will remove Seal N Shine. Once you're done polishing, you can use an IPA to wipe the surface (or a paint prep like CarPro Eraser) and then apply a fresh layer of Seal N Shine.
Omg they sell a flat version of the microfiber Madness wheel brush? I bought mine and it does not fit because of my big capliers and I was very disappointed but now not as much.

Hello Pan, I'm going to ceramic coat my aluminum rims but I would like to polish them first. Is there a specific wheel polish you need for this, or can any polish such as meguiars ultimate polish or 3d one polish work? Also, would it be best to hand apply the polish with a microfibre applicator pad?
Great video! Since I would like one product for many purposes, could I use koch chime Green Star for both rims and tyres, as far as I know it is suitable product for wheel arches and engine bay?
Hi Pan, question: I notice my truck often gets a very light dust on it due to nearby construction. I do not want to have to wash my truck every time it is dusty, but what else can I do?
There aren't miracle solutions for dust unfortunately. Frequent washing is what I would recommend. If there's only a light layer of dust and the car is clean underneath, perhaps a quick detailer and plush towel to wipe, or a rinseless wash method. But again, I would recommend washing more often.
I actually studied at the medicine faculty in University, more specifically in molecular biology and biochemistry. So perhaps that is a part of the reason why. ;)

Pan, do you know of any non toxic car wash solutions? I am cancer surviving, and trying to avoid toxic chemicals, I will use gloves, goggles and mask .ty
Happy to hear you were able to fight off your cancer (my mom is a breast cancer survivor, so this is a cause close to my heart). The majority of quality products from reputable brands are safe to use. But if you want something even safer, that's biodegradable, use Bilt Hamber products (from the UK) or Labocosmetica (from Italy). Labocosmetica is one of the first with VDA class A certification (from a German body of evaluation) and are the safest products for all exterior vehicles parts. I haven't looked into that aspect in depth though, as I place trust in reputable brands to produce products that won't be a risk to my health. So you'd have to do some research and potentially look for SDS sheets and read the list of chemicals they use.

You don’t use a drying aid while blow drying. Once you are done with the blower, you take a microfiber towel and the drying aid to pick up any left over residual droplets/water.
