That was my thought exactly. The place that they're performing is gorgeous. The grey skies, colossal green trees and mist work in harmony to create an eerie atmosphere; it's all such a perfect scene for this band.
I don't think they need a bass player but you're right, another guitar player that fits well with the band...I wouldn't doubt if they already tried to find one but haven't found they right one yet
Klo Riley yeah but the low end from the bass does a lot for you live sound, we may not be able to tel off of this video but bass gives that power and thump in your chest and provides more of a "whole body sensation" at metal shows.
Oh that makes since I could definitely see it helping with live shows, giving them a more full sound. I enjoy the way the studio recordings sound without a bass player though, it's so crisp and different and the bass and drums are usually my favorite tone in metal songs!
after seeing the introduction of the set where he doesn't play guitar and is only committed to vocals i feel as if they should get another guitarist...his vocal stage presence/freedom to move around was outstanding. a drifting phantom haunting the audience...all he had to focus on was delivering horror to the audience. allowed more focus for it. not that he doesn't do that playin' guitar. just my two cents. 10/10 love this band
Love the band and the performance is really good, but they do really need a bassist to get more low end, it doesn't effect their studio stuff where you can double track and boost low frequencies in production, but live having just one guitar trying to do this kind of playing with lots of palm muted tremming quite high on the fretboard really comes across as too thin and tinny sounding. Shame because it would really push them from a good live band to an AMAZING live band. If I wasn't busy with other projects I'd totally audition!
nice forest background, not (really) satisfied with the performance though, which doesn't change my positive opionion about the recording (sorta like old mans child you couldn't really watch live) - too bad it is somewhere in romania
i'm ready to learn playing bass only so the band would let me join- such awsome band, but i rerally think that a bass player would boost the sound to new limits!
In my opinion, this band needs another guitar, and a bass and a way better guitar sound. The singer of a black metal band should do these creepy facial expressions and shit not constantly look down at his fingers and think about the lyrics (which are not just like sataaann sataaan but are waaay more complicated) and what he is playing at the very same time. I think the singer should only just sing cause it would appear way more cool and the performance would be way better this way. They sound awesome already but not even nearly as much as they could...
What is the difference between the new and the old Angren of the video? Just asking because I want to dig in their discography and I want to know a lot about them :)
Ivan Elí Aguilar Hernandez Well, it seems difficult because he plays a couple of things wrong while singing. This doesn't happen when he just plays and doesn't sing.
Their entire sound and image just seems very calculated and designed imo. Metal is only good when it's dangerous and these guys are the complete opposite of dangerous imo.
Osea, acabo de escuchar carach angren y sinceramente para mi son un a mierda, escucho banda de black metal, pero y esto??? Osea nisiquiera sabe usar una guitarra :v
